Nay on the simplification on armor. (if you haven't already) give us specific armor types that affect specific damage types. Ex: crystal-based armor reduces incoming magical damage.

I'd personally love for most of the adventure tech tree to be re-worked around the concept that high-level monsters (and low level monsters), generic loot (as well as powerful artifacts) and quests (both simple and epic) exist from the start. As in, all that stuff is out there, visible and available from the get go. All the loot, monsters and quests could be scaled so that the more one travels inwards from the coast, the more exciting and dangerous things he/she is able to stumble upo

Or is it still sexist in the land of Elemental One culture has the "Egalitarian" trait, which allows you to have female soldiers. It's a lot of work but has a huge pay off: being able avoid entire kingdoms or wilds of enemies. Turning units into boats once they touch water is ok if you want to make a casual game. Please don't take the easy way out. edit: though I do agree having to build an entire city next to water is rather ridiculous. Perhaps allow for pioneers to construct small harbors? City harbors could offer x2 build speed or something to give players an incentive to also make a co
This is something we're looking into improving. I agree with you that it's too easy to game at the moment and we'll definitely be devoting some developer hours into improving the tactical AI. Thanks again for the feedback.
Hopefully a significant amount of developer time. Tactical battles are a large part of the game for some of us. [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]

Yeah, the AI needs to re-prioritize their targets. Gets quite boring when an entire army charges one single unit.

Not only do I see no war, I hear no sound. Does anyone else hear sound?

Each year should be 16 turns: 4 turns of each season. It would be nice if seasons impacted gameplay some how. One "elemental year" would not have to be equal to one "earth year". Who says that Elemental orbits its star as quickly as Earth? Children in Elemental could grow up significantly within the span of one "elemental year" if each season lasted the length of 4 seasons here on Earth.

So have you guys abandoned your original concept for making sovereigns complete bad asses? It's fairly sad to feel threatened by a 1 on 1 with a lowly bandit. Brad was originally drawing comparisons to characters such as Sauron for inspiration for sovereigns.

From a cold, logical stand point, the sooner the update is released the better unless it introduces new crashes. Holding the release until January accomplishes nothing. You're going to want to give every new player (and every returning player) the best possible experience as soon as you can, which means releasing 1.1 as soon as it is as stable as possible and starting on 1.2. Holding the release until Jan is akin to a restaurant owner stock piling rat poison, so that he can ki

I can't remember what your guys' schedule was regarding the 1.1 release. Is the public release build on track for before or after the holidays?

Flaw regarding all 4X games: The diplomacy is always based on who has the biggest sword (who's got the strongest, largest army). Every AI leader has the same mentality / character: "if my nation can conquer their nation, then it will." Please set Elemental apart from all other 4X games and do something unique. Give AI leaders some hidden stats such

I'd take MEANINGFUL gameplay differences between facations / races / empires / kingdoms any day of the week over more quests at the moment.

The whole situation where you have to kill an enemy sovereign outside of his/her territory has been annoying me for the longest time - it was clearly introduced to help the AI because they cannot manage their sovereign properly. Instead of using this system, I propose that each sovereign starts with a resurrection stone within his/her possession. Each time a sovereign dies, one resurrection stone will be used up. A few resurrection stones could be sprinkled throughout t

I suggested the concept of seasons LONG ago during beta. These were my ideas then: https://forums.elementalgame.com/383954 I'd love for seasons to have a significant impact upon gameplay, but each season would probably need to last a number of turns to be relevant.
Some valid points, but I haven't had any stability issues on my current laptop with the GOTY edition.
