Thanks for all of the opinions - I think I'll just stick with SotS for now (and I already have all of the Gal Civ 2 games too).

The hawk fetches building supplies, duh.
The background has always been moving...
It's been brought up many times. Honestly, one of the sovereigns' children should take over the rule of the kingdom/empire. If there are no children, the empire/kingdom should be split up into independent cities.
I'm having a really hard time with money, not food in the first 40 or 50 turns. My city will be producing a pitiful 0.3 gildar per turn restricting the rate at which my kingdom can grow. Any suggestions (other than finding a goldmine)?
Oh wow, I never really knew that about the system. Yes please revamp the XP system!
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. Awarding me with 50 XP for killing something in two tactical turns, but then awarding me only 10 XP that took me 8 tactical turns to take down because it wasn't a wild creature?
How about actually never seeing the AI attack another player? I had two ridiculous AIs declare war on me, but all their armies just sat around doing nothing.
The tech trees need to be expanded, balanced and polished - not removed (except the adventure techs which are silly).
What about zombie vampires? Or Vampire skeletons? The possibilities are endless!
Update slightly and included a new section titled " Experience from battles"
I like this alot - i made a post about making action points become more fluent - so that you can use abilities that might costs alot of action points and you build it up - say doing a heavy attack instead of a normal attack (heavy costing 4 and a normal costing 2 - then add more str bases bonus to heavy but make it harder to hit. see my post about my action point system here https://forums.elementalgame.com/401881
</p
So I've just finished playing v1.1 and wow, what a huge difference. The game has been significantly improved / cleaned up! As always though, there are things that can be improved and hopefully this post will point those things out while also giving the developers some new ideas. General Issues These are just random things I've noticed while playing the game tha
The turn based system works fine. It worked out very well in Masters of Magic too. The real problem is lack of variety on the battle field (cliffs, boulders, etc).
I swear it takes longer to install the game than it does to download the game...
Dramatize much? This is hardly a HUGE BUG.
50.5% done oh my. If I can't steamroll the AI on ridiculous I'll be terribly disappointed happy.
1.91 gigs flowin' through my tubez.
I have Sword of the Stars complete edition. It has the things that I love about space games: the ability to customize ships and a huge in-depth tech tree (not to mention the differences of each of the factions does impact gameplay). Why should I bother with Sins of a Solar Empire? I've never played it but I've read about it and watched videos etc. Is it worth getting if I already have SotS?
Slave labor is tasty. An abundance of free sacrifices for my dark magics? Delicious!

Are there plans to do a round 2 of spells for 1.2?
Tip: Don't eat a burning dog.
Elemental has demons, dragons, drath, etc. that one can research up to. That said, I think there's a real pacing issue that needs to be addressed in the future. I am not convinced that we need 5 different tech trees. I could almost imagine it broken down to 3 like: Civilization Lore Magic where Warfare, Diplomacy, Adventure and Magic get split into these areas. O
This may be a silly question... but why limit what spells are put into the game? If they all sound awesome, throw them all in!
