The simplest way is to recruit one of the champions wandering around the map. Once you recruit them, if they're of the appropriate gender, their action icons will have a wedding ring option. That lets you marry them. Kids follow later.
Going to be tomorrow according to BoogieBac, in GMT-4 (Stardock's timezone this time of year).

Haven't gotten mine in Canada yet either, but I know a US friend that has. Customs probably has them.

Not sure on that though. There's a limit on the number of "units" in an ar
Civ 4 was extremely moddable. You had simple mods in the form of XML (like Elemental has), things like map scripts in python (Elemental will apparently have python scripts at some point for mods, but not sure if that'll allow map generation), and massive changes using compiled C++ with the SDK. The last one was harder to use, but opens up a ton of power.

I wonder why they dropped that concept, as that would make your mana choices more interesting.
There was talk once about shards letting you accumulate different kinds of mana, but that was a VERY long time ago.

Well on the upside Civ 5 comes out later this month? You can whoop those SC2 players in that.
I disagree completely. More than one big site, according to news blurbs linked on this post, have delayed their reviews because of the state of the game, a kindness they do not often extend to publishers. And of the reviews that have come through, almost all of them have some kind of caveat/disclaimer saying something to the effect of 'It's Stardock. The game will get better, its not there yet.' Stardock is

No. There have been countless threads discussing combat, magic, research, and other topics showing why this game is currently a joke. "Good" is a subjective thing, and ultimately a playable game was delivered in one form or another. "Multiplayer doesn't work" isn't. It's just a statement of fa

I remember having a list of "wish we could have done THAT" items for GC2, but, despite fearing the worst, the game got great reviews and multiple editors choice awards. I had a similar list with Elemental, but things are turning out QUITE differently Many lessons to be learned, but for now, w

Never bought any of the expansions since I felt they should have been included in any game billed as a 4x strategy. To be fair, Sins wasn't developed by Stardock, they were just the publisher. I'm pretty sure it was the developer's call to make "Entrenchment" and "Diplom

Releasing a patch requires testing and readying a patch. It's better to put in a bunch of work and put out a patch that fixes several problems then release a patch every two days.

Agree with OP's points, totally 100% agree in the case of #1. That's the single biggest problem with the game right now. The system is so wildly unpredictable that any reasonable attempt at strategy or balance just doesn't work. Make a bunch of guys with maces and you destroy everything. And if they die? Just make more. Champions are much harder to build up, more fragile, and far harder to replace. What I'd add to the list is multiplayer. Listed on the box feature, stil
During the MP phase of beta MP had to be done thru their server (no LAN or players hosting), and for me syncing was so bad that after a few tries I gave up testing it (units would appear to move but not move, they'd 'skate' off the map, etc. -- truly untestable each time I tried). I never saw much to indicate my experiences were unique (again I could be wrong) so I'm wondering how good a test MP got. Add to the above that
