I use my DS primarily on the bus to/from work, where stereoscopic 3d is impossible to use. I wouldn't use it much anyway due to the eye strain and in particular the difficulty I had adjusting back to normal vision after watching this fake 3d for a while (which would be rather bad when walking home). So for me its a normal DS at a much higher price tag with worse battery life. I haven't seen anything that gets me interested.

Don't recall anything ever being said about it, you could try emailing and asking them. TBH with the amount of stuff that was talked about for Elemental that never materialized, I wouldn't get my hopes up too far. What you can do is go to Impulse Anywhere , grab the archive, and make a disk yourself.
It is just at this point, I wonder, if it is even smart for Stardock to spend resources on trying to improve the dead horse (I am a bit exaggerating here) and instead focus everything on expansion, which will be free anyway for most of the elemental players. Please Stardock, prove me wrong with patch 1.3!
You're not the only one thinking that. Since so many people are getting FE free anyway, I'm not sure why they're

The problem here is that the new threads about it are being made by new people, who just bought the game. So I don't know who your rant is aimed at. Those people aren't going to read it, since they're not here yet. (At least, the ones that aren't about Gamestop buying Impuse are... because those ones are a totally different can of worms.)
