Uncheck "Show pre-release versions" in settings. The reason you are getting this is b

I uninstalled the game, but when I tried to reinstall I get the error: File Downloaded is Smaller Than Expected. I have uninstalled Impulse, re-downloaded it, rebooted my computer and still the same thing, why the hell can I not download the game anymore. edit: I unticked the show prerelease option on impulse, i tried to download the non-beta game and now I am getting, error - No Decompression Detected, No Files Were Downloaded *****PROBLEM SOLVED
the dumbest thing I've seen the AI do is; 1)The Resoln empire built their main city in an area with no resources, I found them at turn 30, at turn 100 they still had a level 1 city with no improvements, I simply took it over with a force of two heroes. 2)Every time I start a games there is always one or two factions that spam the living hell out of pioneers, while yes that is a good strategy if you have the resources, but these idiots had -5000 gi
Has this problem been fixed yet?
I agree
for some reason the player cant build cities on top of each other but the AI in my games has no problem plopping cities directly side by side (they actually touch each other at level 1 cities)
that is insane lol
Constitution (CON): Constitution is a term which encompasses the character's physique, toughness, health and resistance to disease and poison. The higher a character's Constitution, the more hit points that character will have. Constitution also is important for Fortitude saves, the Concentration skill, and fatigue-based general checks. Constitution also determines the duration of a barbarian's rage. Unlike the other ability scores, which render the character unc
if Wis controls how much mana then Int should effect regeneration per turn
I'm saying it should be based solely on stats, no free HP or anything upon a level up HP per level tied to your Con modifier Essence tied to your Int Modifier ect
in traditional rpgs your HP gain per level is based on your Con modifier, so the more Con you have the more HP your hero gains on a level up Where as Cha usually gives you better modifiers in negotiations and better prices in stores (currently it just gives better prices when hiring heroes). But it could also be used to modify diplomatic capital production thus giving the bonus to negotiations Wis is traditionally common sense and divine might but since you play as a wiz
haha, I had this happen as well
I'd also tie intelligence into the strength of summons somehow (eg strength or health of the summoned creature); I don't think its right that summons should ignore intelligence completely.
true, since the more powerful the wizard, the more powerful his "creations" would be
you might have to research the superior farming tech first I was able to farm my wheat fields and a pumpkin patch but i was already late in the game and had researched superior farming
I will be the light that conquers your empire of darkness and should death take me I will be born anew like the great Phoenix of old and by my hands your treachery will be undone. *for the space hamsters Boo*
or at the very least cause them to *not* show up on the item screen since the starting gear is never anything special and is replaced by better gear often quite quickly
as mentioned the easiest thing to do would be to only show what spells I have researched when I go to cast a spell however, when i go to research a spell it should only show what spells i can research given my level, not show me spells I can research 3 levels from now that simple step would free up a lot of clutter with out really changing anything And some of these guys have some incredible ideas about spell variations that could really spice up the mag
i reached level 9 spells and never saw a thing saying i needed a shard to learn and/or cast a spell and since playing the 3C beta i have yet to figure out what they do
that would work, as well as put a more direct use for diplomatic capital rather than just having it being used as a bargaining chip
okay I had it happen again and I tried it with the sound turned off this time: debug.err DxDiag.txt
Suggestion, add an Abandon city option. Raising a city should give you plenty of cash, and resources that are linked, it would be like a massive looting exercise took place, say random 25-50% of all resources that went into the city and 5 turns of its output. I'm not sure what you do get for raising one, but it always seems a little low. Most of the wealth from wars came from sacking and raising cities. Abandon should be available
sounds awesome, best of luck to you
