Your sovereign can cast any spell regardless of intelligence. Only heroes have that requirement.
Sorry... I wasn't really thinking of cooldown like I can't cast that specific spell for x turns. I was thinking more of burnout/exhaustion. Like I just launched off this really awesome spell and I can't channel anymore magic for the next x turns, possibly even losing the ability to move or attack. I think that would make for some very interesting player choices. What if a strong tactical spell left your caster immobile and unable to counterattack for the remainder of the battle? Would you sti
I disagree. I think that the magic system is entirely fine. Do you have any actual flaws with it that you could point out?
There are a few things actually: -Make intelligence more meaningful for the sovereign. -Allow spells to have casting time where several turns of build up is required to cast, time based on intelligence? (This is the only one I
I am serious about it. But I think I am going to wait until more things are settled and modding support is better (python anyone?)
I must say 1.1 had me bored until I tried the tweaked exe with the improved AI and added resources. For the first time I'm actually getting into the game and being forced to think.
Is Kael even a dev? He's a project manager and the producer. On a team that size I doubt he'd be doing any development.
No worries. The suopport forum is here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/forum/877 Someone will help you there.
Please post in the support forum and don't necro old threads.
Sovereigns can cast any spell regardless of int. It's very misleading I know. They need to work on documenting things for people.
So given the modding tools we have I'm surprised more people aren't making and distributing custom maps. Is there problems with this? Is it not possible to make and place interesting custom tiles yet? Also how are we supposed to play a custom map if we make or download one? Also has the problem where the map throws away fixed resources and generates it's own been fixed yet?
That's awesome... I want a spell that does that... Lol
He might be playing the annoying swamp part in the campaign.
What is a mod czar exacalactly?
Good points for improving the game! [e digicons]k1[/e] [e digicons][/e]
Yes please. I would like to play against a at least somewhat challenging AI opponent that didn't cheat. That would be awesome.
Just an FYI the spell name/titles show up really terribly on the journals page because the color choice blends so well into the background.
I think rock/paper/scissors/lizard/spock is better...
Use pictures in your posts. It distracts people from any mistakes and causes endless pointless speculation about what you really mean... [e digicons]O:)[/e]
What if prestige was global and there was no per city bonus so by building many small outposts you would actually dilute your prestige and eventually cause your cities to not grow? Also with this system you could award prestige with quests and for defeating certain monsters or completing other objectives.
Because then you could give races weaker and stronger chassis for types of units. Like elves could have superior archer bases and their warrior bases would be moderate in strength. Orc bases for example would have overall inferior archers but they might have higher strength archers than the elves but far inferior accuracy and the orcs could have a special beserker base or something that gives higher strength but can't dodge.
Is there any way to have different unit 'Chassis' and then have a limited selection of weapons and armor that you can assign to each 'chassis'? So like an archer that has different stats than a warrior and different chassis for each race. But then the warrior has a choice of 4 bows and 2 armors (some of which are unlocked by tech). Also the warrior chassis could have 6 possible weapons and 5 armors. And there could be 4 or 5 accessories that are universal to any unit. Would that work? Is it p
*sigh* This is just a marketing attempt that turned into a big faux pas because people don't understand what they mean. They mean they will be working on the game for at least a whole year adding content, fixing bugs, improving functionality. The kind of stuff you would normally see in a n expansion you would have to pay for. And ALL of this will be FREE for people who have purchased the game rather than having to pay for an expansion or DLC. After that they'll likely still be doing bug fixes
The problem is this.
I don't understand how AI will fix a dull choice lacking combat system... :(
