Filter 2 looks sickly to me.
What is this game 2? Tell tell brad!
OMG the pluralization thing annoys me soooooooo much you would not believe! It would be better if the code tried to pluralize it but allowed use to correct it cause I know it's going to pluralize my Blade of Light to Blade of Lights and be so very proud of itself while I pull my hair out.
OMG that voice over review was totally hilarious. I love it!
Don't pay $80 for the limited edition. I would probably reccommend waiting until Fallen Enchantress since it's a standalone and so you don't need to buy the original at all. Unless you really want to jump on the wagon now. Me I can't play the game right now, there's not enough life to the world or depth of strategy. It doesn't keep my interest so I'm sticking with Dwarf Fortress until FE comes out. That said it's really not a bad game anymore, there's some substance there but it still needs a
Wow what an interesting discussion. I commend you Corbeaubm for your efforts and clear analysis of the strategy (such as it is) in elemental. I wish for you to continue your work. For me, elemental is still too dull and lifeless for me to get into... :(
Elemental is a stand alone expansion. It's like how dawn of war did it. Each game didn't require the previous games to play but it had all the new content. However in this case some of the changes that they are making are so drastic it may feel better to call it a new game. It is still elemental. And will succeed elemental war of magic. So if you have FE unless you're really attached to the originals gameplay elements then the choice will be simple. Play FE. Because FE is elemental plus but y
I think you guys miss the point If the classify it as a second game and never make an expansion for War of Magic that means the sales pitch they gave everyoen in December that if you guy the game before the end of the year you get the first expansion free has been null envoid and you get nothing for free. What in essence they can do is now claim this new game as a new game and re-charge everyone for what really is the expansion
This whole 'new game' idea is really confusing people... [e digicons]:\[/e]
The expansion will have all the content from the original game (excluding anything they decide should be cut). Think of a standalone expansion as an expansion automatically bundled with the original game and you'll get the idea.
That picture is full of win... I love that creature... I want one!
Quoting Sarudak, reply 7 No this has been confirmed by the Devs that this is how it works. It is 8 hits of 50 each. That's why I said 400 defense on a single unit is unhittable. I understand why they might display the attack as cumulative (although they need a better way to display this), but the defense being displayed as cumulative is nothing but misleading as it isn't accurate at all. Not all the exact details of the combat formulas ha
The problem is if we make seasons so long then children take proportionally longer to mature. Unless you say that seasons last much longer in the elemental world. Which would actually be interesting although I don't see how it could be possible from a physical standpoint.
I have come to the conclusion that the combined attack score is wrong. What I think happens is that say an 8 unit squad comprised of say 50 attack units = 400 attack don't actually attack with a 400 strength. Each unit individually attacks at 50 strength = 8 misses. I think that the 400/400 is really just a display amount. It doesn't actually combine the values. I may be wrong, but I see
400 defense on a single unit!? No wonder! Nothing in the game could touch that. The only possible way to kill him would be through magic. He probably hasn't been rebalanced since combat mechanics were reworked.
The other way to do it would be to have Effects change year by year and the season would be an indicator of how long the current effect was going to last.
Hey now... I gave reference points for my scores. Further more that's what he asked for. I gave it out as best I can. But I acknowledge it's hard to actually draw anything from it.
Go ahead. I don't care much about credit as long as it makes it into the game. It would diversify units so much.
I many of these things would be a step backward toward previous mechanics that were tried and rejected.
While I refuse to compromise my rating scale by giving n/10 where n > 10 I have to agree with the previous comment. Although there are a couple more things it would need to be a 10/10. Such as a magic system as interesting and complex as dominions 3, in fact racial differentiation like dominions 3 too, ALSO sovereign customizability on par with Dominions 3. (Why do I never play that game anymore?) A 10/10 is a high achievement. I don't even know that it's possible for a game to please me t
I have been pushing the training idea for a long time. It would add so much to the game.

My quest is totally going to eat your face. And with that, I will have to get involved and create a Quest that eats both of your faces. LOL! Hmm, a cannibalism quest to eat faces...... sounds awesome. Glad I thought of it befor
I would find it difficult too if I could not wring such an advantage from tactical combat. I truly find challenging level to be challenging.
It seems they like it to be kept a secret. Why is everyone so baffled by the developer vs publisher thing?
