This game you are talking about sounds a whole lot like age of wonders.... Maybe with a little dominions thrown in.
Sarudak
Is the sample game going to be actually good or is it really just a tech demo?
Why don't we want the earth to get warmer anyway? I mean if the earth got warmer canada could be like,. a real country. Or even greenland! :O Seriously though if the earth actually were to get reasonably warmer wouldn't that be a good thing relatively speaking? More crops. More livable land. And all that jazz. In any case it couldn't possibly be worse for humanity than the effect of stopping fossil fuel usage which would basically send us back to some pre-industria
Can't we just short-circuit this entire distraction issue by getting self-driving cars? That would save so many lives anyway.
An escaped juggernaut is a nice consolation prize :D
Why are people so ridiculously demanding?
Incidentally, we are hiring.
Oh if only you weren't in Michigan... :)
So Jon is no longer working with Stardock?
Nice to hear I'll be getting a Steam key. Automatic updating is too awesome for me to complain about the negatives of steam. :)
Too true. I am consistently amazed by the level of vitriol that comes from gaming communities. People are so dramatically self entitled these days I find it rather disturbing and the gaming community seems to be a high point in that trend. Combined with the relative anonymity of the internet and the results are not pretty. A perfect example was the new XCom which was in a mind-blowingly amazing game and yet if you went on their forums you wouldn't know it. You have my sympathies
They have already talked about plans for an RPG in the elemental world. I hope it's an epic open-world style RPG like Elder Scrolls. That could be awesome!
Well I was on the fence but if GPG is going to be throwing around that kind of disinformation then I definitely won't be supporting any kickstarter of theirs.
Just set the useless units to guard if you don't care about them. As for the shards I think they just need to fix the corruption spell to work on shrines altars and temples..
For me the game has been totally stable. There are still a few oddities like monsters not staying tied to their lairs in wildlands. But I haven't had a game crash since I started playing again recently. If you're having crashes and want them fixed you need to report them.
I like the idea of outposts costing population too. After all there needs to be people to run the things.
Defintely spend more time with your family. That being said, what are you doing for those 40-80 hours? As the CEO, you should spend the vast majority of your time engaging in strategic planning, not the day to day operations. If you are still activity "rolling up your sleeves", you haven't delegated sufficiently. - I'm saying this assuming that SD has reach a "critical mass" where the day to day operations c
Um.... The hobbit doesn't have anywhere near the coherence of LotR. It's really quite a different tale as others have said. More of a children's fairy-tale is right on the money. I thought the escape from the goblin mountain scene was so far over the top that it broke suspension of disbelief as it veered into the ridiculous. Also I thought the level of violence was creepy combined with the near complete lack of blood and gore like when Gandalf opens up the Goblin king
Stardock should fix the map to be like this.
They need to make them a lot tougher. Maybe they need to increase the cost for it to be balanced. But as it is I basically never build them.
This is a form of cognitive bias. You do not notice when the RNG favors you like when you hit 3 30% chances in a row. But you always notice when you miss 3 out of 4 75% chances.
Yay! I'm really looking forward to Goetia! Also are you still doing your ivory/wizard/whatever tower mod thing?
The dynasty system has been removed entirely.
AI not being able to do quests at all would be better than this... :P
I'm sorry but the fancy font is just too painful to read on a high resolution monitor...
They're probably just reselling Steam keys. The game doesn't use Steamworks.
Impulse sure isn't what it used to be... I've considered uninstalling but I've bought a fair bit of games on it already... :(
