Four seasons and four elements... Hmmm... What about... Summer - Fire (Heat) Fall - Air (Wind) Winter - Water (Ice, Snow, and Rain) Spring - Earth (Growth, plants) During the corresponding season your spells could act as if you had one more shard of that type than you actually do...

Dude they can't just go and find another publisher. The publisher is generally the one funding the game therefore they control the money and they would have contracts to protect the investment they already made in the game.
I think it's intriguing how putting that many repetitions of the same phrase causes it to cease becoming words and instead an interesting visual pattern.
When do we get the 64 bit version?? I want to use all 12GB of my memory!! *drools*
Huh... I really felt like the differnece was bigger than that. In most of the games I played in 1.1 I found nearly nothing as far as resources. In the build Brad put out I usually found 1 or 2 interesting city locations.
Is the 1.11 going to increase the resources available like in Brad's build? I find the 1.1 no resources world rather depressing...
I believe it is fun and enjoyable but I won't be playing it long term in it's current state. I feel right now it gets a 6.5/10 on my enjoyment scale. Which is better than many games. HOMM5 got a 2. Dwarf fortress gives me a 8.5 and my fully modded morrowind gave me a 9 (Oblivion was a 7.5) while the fall from heaven 2 mod on civ 4 gave me a cool 8. Moo3 was a 4.5 and Moo2 was a 7.5. That's a very subjective assesment. Make of it what you will.
Welcome to the team Jon. May you make much magic here...
Wow... There's alot of vitrol here toward this guy. Honestly from what it sounds like he was doing that might just be too much to realisticly put on one guy. Maybe he couldn't quite pull it off, I don't know. I never played civ 5. But regardless even if he made a few mistakes doesn't make him an epic failure at game design or that he doesn't have alot of talent. To me it from what I've heard civ 5 had alot of great design ideas and interesting new mechanics, some of which flopped in execution
At the outset it was supposed to be a difficult decision because it would cost essence which would permanently weaken your sovereign. Now it is just like any other enchantment.
When do we get the official announcement?
I hope everyone gets along... Sometimes big name people come with big heads. [e digicons]
I don't know anything about the guy. But it's an interesting team he's putting together here.
So when do we get the big announcement? Huh? Huh? Huh?
So does that mean none of the other awesome spells will make it in?
Dude I love those things! They're kinda expensive though. At least from my supplier...
I think Froggy swallowed it...
Also another change that the magic system really needs IMO is allowing AOE to strike friendly and enemy units. Some could specifically avoid enemy units. But if I feel for the good of my empire that toasting 8 enemy soldiers is worth toasting one of my own that should be my decision as the sovereign to make. Another change I think should be made to the system is to modify how AOE hits squads. Right now it treats them like a single big unit with tons of health. It would be better if it
Many of the points were changed for clarity. In any case they believed it met the goals at the time.
This is another thing we don't want. Because what we want is a meaningful choice where building many cities and building few can both be viable. This is just a game mechanic to force people not to build cities.

"A game that fans of Master of Magic, Age of Wonders, HOMM, DOM3, and other great games will be proud to add to their family of classic games" should be a pre-release goal not a post-release goal. I know that "2. Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state." is no longer in the gamer's bill of rights. But, please, do not release software that you yoursel
I think heroes might be more interesting if we couldn't choose what stats increased on level-up. Then we couldn't just min-max them all to be what we wanted but would have to use them as they come. Also some heroes could have better or worse growth rates without breaking the game.
Announcement??? [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e]
