Tsk, the game isn't even really out yet, and already people have started developing ideas for mods for it. *shakeshead*
Can you imagine? Even Frogboy has one in mind!!!

But bandits and raiders do both parties, not just enemies. A road is something inanimated, anything that happens on it is due to people (and/or animals). An enemy solider is not going to have problems using any road unless in that road: Bandits: they can attack anyone who they think that they can beat. Problem, won't stop armies (won't even attack them) and attacks just anyone and not only the nation's enemies. Magic: with proper magic, your roads could b
If he has a build with Dinasties and Quests, does that mean they won0t follow exactly the schedule and offer us both for next build? Or will they cap the Quests and keep the dinasties only for next build? Thanks Kyogre12![e digicons][/e]
That thread from December '08 does make me wonder if we might see a prototype of the hearldry tool somewhere in Beta 2. I'm hoping it can be fun/useful on the cloth map. The Australia part was for all that thing about blood and violence, as Luckmann said. Let's not get started on the USA and nipples. Especially during public TV events (doesn't beat porn during the Super Bowl though :P).
I don't think that the Ring would actually allow you to kill Sauron. It shouldn't. It should try to conquer you or betray you. It's part of Sauron after all and in its limited way, always trying to go back home. What I want to say is that atlhough not impossible to kill him while in control of the Ring (ask certain hobbits about it), it shoul have some kind of penalty/difficulty added to reflect that. Anyway, my LotR lore isn't that big but isn't Sauron immortal as long as the Ring is
You are better praying for a reboot of the Firefly "franchise". Praying for a good one too. Considering the ending in Serenity, I somehow would prefer the reboot. I feel doubtful about watching new series because of the "cancelling if not uber ratings" effect. I loved Jericho but I won't dare to watch the second season after being cancelled (again). Kudos to the team of The Peacekeepers Wars for wrapping the story pending in Farscape. It made me wonder if it'd not be better if series
I think it was said you could research down multiple paths at once.
I think it was that some research could allow you to research more than a tech at a time. Still, it would be limited to the initial slot plus the one(s) you unlock through research.
A bit off topic and surely mentioned somewhere else sometime but... Shouldn't we have a system that actually allows us to research all the techs at the same time? We would get all the basic techs available since the very begining (plus faction ones) and they would get slowly researched every turn. We could choose a few to focus on, researching them faster. And when trading, you would have just two types of tech trade: unlock tech (you allow him to unlock one you have but he doesn't or
and really just makes the game 'feel' peppier.
I am sensing a perturbation in the kitchen. A good one.
The problem with random map generation and all that means that you can end with the following scenario: Player Frodo spawns near Player Sauron. Not close enough as to know it without some exploration, obviously. In early exploration, a goodie hut found by Player Frodo gets him The One Ring. I'm, maybe wrongly, supposing that it's far enough of Sauron to spawn but still close enough to suppose a problem. A few turns later, Player Sauron finds Player Frodo and
Stardock won't be the first company trying to avoid sterotypes. And there will be people that own't like the story no matter what because it doesn't have A or B, or because C reminds him of H done by Blizzard, Gamesworshop or Ridley Scott. They can always open threads asking for ideas for the different factions/lores... :P

We get 12 Sovereigns so the 6 Mithrilar part isn't accurate anymore. And in before the scoutdog, Frogboy reuses many ideas of Galc Civ 2. Or better said, many ideas he had before he started Gal Civ (1). As how far he is reusing and/or redefining... who knows. Most probably it's just some kind of parallel universe to that of Gal Civ (in the best of cases), as from some of the background information of Gal Civ and the stories Frogboy shared with us, Draginol could travel through dimensi
You have two races with different flavors. Humans (vanilla, chocolate...) and Fallen (salt, pepper...).
We recruit units from our population, which means that somehow that should reflect when assigning patrols to roads, watchtowers... And in any case, a patrol of 4 * men will mean nothing to an enemy army (unless they are... the fantastic four ninjas in disguise!) * be it 8 if you prefer but it's not like you are going to use a whole army to patrol the road. Especially not a single part of the road. Hmmm Maybe have little militar detachments that lower the enemy movement in their i
Open ended, doubtful. Good guy ending and evil guy ending, doable and probably they already have that in mind (even if in the book there is only one option).
Well, I don't know if you would call this 'bragging rights' but I wouldn't mind if achievements would give some extra cosmetic options like a different look for a building or unit...
As long as you don't tie those achievements to a specific mode of play (like only bieng able to unlock them playing multiplayer), those are nice things to have.
I hate to admit my ignorance, but why is that unfortunate? Does this up the difficulty in playing custom games in some way? The only real purpose of Achievements is to keep people playing the game instead of doing other things (included playing other games). They should never give anything more than bragging rights. Anything else and you have complainers, cheaters...
