Elemental supposes a barren world that needs the Sovereigns to bring it back to life. Although we get a campaign, each sandbox game is going to be based in the same rules (if no mods). Considering that, each random game we start is supposed to start with Barren Lands as default with Sovereigns divided between Plains and Lava as favored terrains. I wonder if it's really going to be like that or if Stardock considers having an option to customize that part of the experience. You know, w
I think that a watchtower alone in the wilderness needs a supply line to keep working or lose it permanently if not. But Such a building could be built anywhere, not just restored terrain. It should be just a matter of transporting materials and build it. The plan is to keep some soldiers stationed there, not to have them farming or something like that. It would be like the idea of building mines in resources that are not in your city limits. You build your mining centre there and the trick w

The top of the tower reminds me of a lipstick. Ah... sorry but it's true. XD "angley" is not necessarily bad ( http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2920671 ).:P Anyway, so far looking good.
Instead of stealing/trading complete techs it'd be better to steal/trade points in that tech. But I suppose we will get the usual "steal tech when conquering city" and probably "steal tech with some nebulous spionage system".
Those pieces and artifacts don't need to be unique and would allow the construction of such temples without the need to "Conquer them All". It would be a "Wonder Victory" with the added part of artifacts collecting.
:P In the effort of organizing better the work, sometime in the future there will be specialist posts containing blocks of information that will be updated from time to time as there is new information to update. The Dying Sun's Campaign Guide is where playable civilizations are collected. Civilizations, their style, the Sovereigns... I have currently 12 candidate civilizations that could be playable. Only 5 of those are Priority 1, which means that of those 12 only
We are talking Epic here right...?
Sure. You fund Stardock now, right? All the extra art assests so different from each other that doesn't allow reutilization, the coding to differenticate all of them properly, all the whole testing to try to balance minimally all of them, release date pushed back (this one isn't necessarily bad)... Yeah. Epic.[e digicons]:|[/e]
If Area of Influence could be separated from Area of Control, Keeps/Castles would be more important and interesting as they would be used to increase the area of control and could be independent of population centers, IMHO.
5. Make sure the player is having fun, not the designer/computer. It doesn't mean that if suddenly most of the players of this forum want the game to be turned into an FPS, Stardock should do as people here (which is just a small part of the people who will play the game) says. Stardock offers an idea. And while they are nice enough to let us influence it, only them have the right to finally decide how it must be. And it's their duty to make sure that what they offer us
Well since this game is gonna be single player oriented. Can i just research an assasin and send him in the oppnents kingdom and kill him off, while the rest of my army gets wasted? I dont see why not i mean itll make this game so much faster and not much easer than what it sounds already. DoW is good. DoW 2 is good. The problem for some people is that they are different styles. I like both styles and of them I prefer DoW2 (hell, I even finished the campaign, thing that I cannot say of DoW). In any case DoW is a solid product (aka ignore the first reply to this thread and anyone similar) and has most of the races of Warhammer 40k (thing that DoW 2 will never achieve unless miracle).

Cosmetic naming for the coins of each civilization would be cool but they should the same or have iron trade bars system or similar for trading.
