Lucky fellas. My office doesn't have such ambient as it's too serious but it's still nice and with good people. So as long as the client doesn't try to tear the flesh from my bones, it's a nice place to work in. The freak in me needs more freaks around though!! (board games during lunch? OMG!!![e digicons][/e] )

The lag in this game is terrifying.
Welcome to the emo(tionally scarred by the Beta) side! [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]
If Stardock managed to reflect the Presence and Domination differences of Vampire: The Masquerade's disciplines, that would be awesome. Domination would be easy (take control, can end with the target losing its own initiative to act, needing direct input from the master) while Presence (Charm...) would be tricky as you don't really "control" the target (but it retains free will and can act by himself always).
TL;DR: Magic and mundane economy are (or should be) different and not depend on the other for development. Mixing them should boost both though. Why is not possible to have a strong society and strong magic while having them to be different/split? If both are independent of each other, I don't see why you cannot develop both to a great degree (except for forced balacing reasons). One real limit could be if both shread resources for development but then we would need t
One of the suprising things we found this Friday, during our end-of-the-week powwow, is that the cloth map makes certain spells..well...dull. Spells that should be super-awesome just come across as lame. Raise land, for instance. You're a sovereign, summoning your powers to rip the world asunder, pulling a rocky cliff-face form it's ageless slumber. The world shakes as dirt and ash fill the sky in a magical haze. The rumbling stops...your mana drained, will dep
Obviously a failed joke about a sooner relase of 3D engine?
Without the 3D engine some of those spells cannot be properly beta tested as you request. Just saying.[e digicons]:-"[/e] [e digicons];P[/e]
I watched it in 3D some weeks ago. I paid to watch it. And when I left the cinema I didn't regret to spend that money (unlike with other movies...). Therefore and in my book, it is a good movie. Best movie ever? No, I'd choose Aliens any day over Avatar but it's still one of the best movies I have watched (even Pandorum or Event Horizon would score better). Even with this: Spoiler I like the
In the art style section you failed to mention Alphonse Mucha. The idea that they were going for an art style inspired by his work is a big part of what drew me in.
Actually, I didn't know where to find the link for that part. But your mention of Alphonse Mucha did the trick: <a href="https://forums.elementalgame.com/358519/page/1/#2291710
Considering that shards are charged with magical energy, if not provinding mana, they could offer discounts in spells cast (a bit for generics, more serious for spells of its type). Or provide discounts and mana. Anyway, shards better have an important role as they were the reason of Titans visiting the world of Elemental and the subsequent battle that ended in the cataclysm.
Well, Chess only has: How to win the game (kill the King) Initial position of the pieces in the board (never changes, neither the size of the board) Type of movement for each type of piece The abyss between Chess (yes, I know it's just an example, that's why I use it too) and any type of decent TBS is too big. TBS are not just combat simulators (Chess?), they include things like actually producing a variable number of different units (that ca
Seem that weekend already started? :P Tried to use anchors (for index and the different headers) but, at least in the preview, it seemed to do weird things. Maybe it's the way I wrote the HTML. In any case, consider the OP a "work in progress". And yes, I know that in the Index it says "Size of Maps" but later it says "Maps". I won't bother to edit such minor thing. I'll correct that once I have something meaningfull to add/correct (trying to avoid edits for minor details like that).
I really hope there is some kind of game mechanic in "EL" that makes it strategic (or nessessary) to cast all sorts of different types of spells. Anything; like a spell may only be used once per combat, or that casting a spell that requires a certain combination of nodes also makes that same amount of node types unavailable for any other spells/counters (that day/turn/combat). Or protection spell
Frogboy changed his mind? " Channelers have a very long life (hundreds of years – they’re effectively immortal in our game but they’re not truly immortal). " https://forums.elementalgame.com/374288
Do people really bother with nude mods for TBS games? O_o Civilization IV: Beyond the clothes XD
I plan to update it during the weekend with an index and links. The length of the post worries me (database column length wise) but we will survive to have in the OP the most important bits of info (with the most interesting ones if space allows it). In any case, if you know about something not in the OP that you consider that should be there, it might be due to: Me not noticing it or me not agreeing with your opinion or not having enough space (or still working on it). Let me kn
That new way to research spells sounds good. It'll be very nice to try it. And good to know "see" the effects of feedback. ^^ I like the pic but... no more cards like in the Media section? Must hate kittens ???
Maybe the campaign is in a "short" period of time that is not enough for the Sovereign to die of old age but in sandbox games can take so long that they could die of old age and a succession/dinasty system apply. Pure speculation, eh?
IE 8 here.
Frogboy commented that Beta 2 should be around the end of February. But don't worry about it, Stardock will tell us with time so people with paypal (or with credit card but still not preordered) can preorder the game and take part in the Beta. *insert Frogboy comment about the suffering and pain that the Beta supposes*
Some days prior the next beta phase (and/or during the first days of it), I think that they enable paypal. There should be some posts about it in this subforum (losts under the pile of threads XD) with more precise information than my weak memory.
Maybe add some links to the source posts so folks can see you didn't make it up
I didn't make it up? Whoops. Haha. You are right, although some parts are from various sources. I'll work about that and other updates to improve the format/content/usability, adding the update date to the title each time I edit the initial post meaningfully (except when editing for adding epic banners).
