Just wait for the slash fiction about the human Sovereign Boyer and the fallen Sovereign Magnar. It's a bomb ready to explode, I tell you.

Er... my mistake. No "first" view, sorry. I should have stayed with the "shooter" word but got distracted while writing. My apologies.[e digicons][/e]
THe problem I foresee with what I could read is that having kids seems that it's going to be a very puntual thing. After all, you must have this mechanic balanced of you might find someone that only uses the Sovereign to f... have offspring. Offspring that won't be channelers, true, but that are going to be at Hero level of deatil anyway. I can also foresee a Harem Manga mod*. Those who know will understand.XD * not really
I always liked the idea of a necromantic faction that gets zombies each time a normal humanoid non undead unit of any player dies. So if Kindgom A goes to war with Kingdom B and in their first battle they lose 1000 men, Kingdom Z gains 1000 zombies. Not as WMD or flashy as a Moon Crash Spell, Massive Desintegration Spell, Neutrino Explosion Spell or the Nukegeddon Spell but surely more frightening. And it'd be a sustained global spell, which would be cool. <
Unfortunately, I cannot compare it to Deus Ex as I haven't played it. Neither Thief II. Mass Effect was the first (and only, until Mass Effect 2) "shooter" I have played since MDK (around 1997?) .
If you can play DA:O you should be able to play ME2, I think. At least I do and my computer has some time. Dragon Age: Origins is a more old school roleplaying game (pausable continous turns and all that) while Mass Effect 2 would be a cinematic roleplaying game (action oriented in its first person shooter style). Unlike Dragon Age, you won't be able to speak with your team mates during the missions and it's more streamlined than DA in options (not huge inventory problems, for example
Spell components? Not really a problem unless you want to force the wizard to go "shopping" for each and every one of them
Actually, spell components are one of the "weaknesses" of the wizard, so it's supposed to be ab used to balance the class. I never forced to buy every single component needed for spells (except for uncommon/rare/expensive ones) as it was boring and
I wrote this some weeks ago and reading it again today I must say that unfortunately I still agree with myself. :\ To MoM, or not to MoM D&D uses classes as the base system to define characters. I want normal units
I'm currently playing it on normal difficulty, and so far I've killed off any Wiz pretty easily. Except for one game when I ventured too far too early and ran into all three opponents at once, who were all in alliances and gangbanged me for as much as passing through their territory.
Mention 1 feature of Master of Magic that you hate without limits: Diplomacy.[e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] Might as well not have it at all.
You lack drow and avariel in that list. You also lack Gay* Elves and iElves. * as in Happy or Carefree.
Should I suggest that if you dare to mate with a succubus you should get stuck in the city permanently due to being unable to travel away for your... milker ? Plus lose some stats points due to exhaustion? And increased spell failure chance due to distractions? Really, such a thing would really need high magic (not to summon but to protect yourself + dominate her so she behaves like an obedient doll and not a devious being of utter evil*... which is what people thinks whe
Wizards are never played properly in D&D, and the dungeon master rarely enforces their limitations, both physically and from a role playing standpoint. If the DM holds a wizard player to the strains of sticking to prepared spells, spell component use, concentration breaks, provoked attacks of opportunity, semantic use, and doesn't cut them any slack in regard to their meagre hitpoints then wizards are about on par with other class
The astral plane should be stronger then material if only channelers can get there. Its like the DnD 3.5 argument about wizards. Everyone claimed that mages were overpowered compared to fighters in 3.5 dnd, and they were. However, who do you think should be stronger, the guy who is really really good at waving a sword around, or the guy who can alter reality itself with a word?
None. If it's a cooperative game, it's difficult to have i
I get more than a dozen of Egads each week (in Elemental that is where I post, nothing yet in SoaSE or Demigod where I only read). Annoying for sure.

Instead, Stardock is targeting people who would like Galactic Civilizations or Sins of a Solar Empire. On the other hand, people who loved Disciples or Space Empires IV might find Elemental too simple. Is this accurate? disciples wasn't that complicated unless I'll getting confused with another game. You might want to have someone update the date for M.U.D. TV. I read something about February 25 but not that I know german and can be sure.
Unless someone makes a quick coup de grâce on the weakling, the longer the game has gone the more I foresee neverending story. Not very good for people who actually wants to finish the game and not drag it into infinity and beyond. Except for that, the only problem I'd see with the idea would be how to balance the different advantages. If it reaches the point in which the world must start handling Dragons... uff, wrong wrong.
I don't talk. I write. :P Considering that (for the current placeholders) Tarth is a seafarer faction that has recently become interested in the lands of their ancestors, Lady Sarah should be like this*: And should have a more approiate name like Lady Sango. Alien enough so only a very precise part of the global population find it too common . Or Kin (

Give me Trinity wallpaper! It feels so barren of life in that section of the SOASE site.
I'm not fond of (unnecessary) PMs so if anyone interested in mine, first user to post here asking for my coupon, gets it.
