- When the tower upgrade to extend your borders is built it does not extend your vision which makes it a somewhat pointless upgrade with exception of the rare occasion when there is a resource just outside it's range. I would rather build more outposts and see my lands than to actually use the tower upgrade. Again not sure if design decision or a bug but I'll mention it anyway. Edit: seems if you later load a game that had the upgrade built the vision range is a

I've been playing the beta for quite some time now and I noticed the following trend with every new game: You do not have the income to support the legendary heroes you receive and an army to back them at early game. Simply put in the early game it is relatively easy to obtain 2-3 heroes even if you're not trying. When this happens the heroes drain 1 gildar a turn which reduces your ability to field a military to back your hero. I usually end up with my

- Guardian statue and Guardian Idol are invisible on strategic view. They have sparkles around their invisible self. This bug dates back to FE. I thought it would have been fixed by now, maybe no one reported it. - When player captures a wildland the area becomes Kingdom Green even when you're playing an Empire race. It should turn Empire dusk. Eg. Conquer wildland with Emperor Kraxis Army, all units Kraxis, no Kingdom units in group - Land converts to Kingdom lush Green. Not sure

Bah this outposts costing 30 pop business is driving me wild. I'm resorting to making my starting city a town on 5 food which solely becomes my pioneer production city. Any cities built after this are actually the rest of my empire. It doesn't feel right being forced to follow same build strategy every new game :(

Ahh need the Pioneer fix straight away. The ridiculous 30pop cost is killing growth and punishing you even more for expanding. There is already unrest mechanic that punishes for building too many cities. 30 pop cost on pioneers just discourages expansion at all so you cannot build outposts to expand your territory. Wish we could have 0.51 for the weekend :) Perhaps you should have a beta in your beta so we can opt to test the 'unstable' beta :) Stardrive does this and its pret

I cannot let go of LH, just one more turn............. The game is leaps and bounds ahead of Fallen Enchantress. There is always something going on, whether you're busy clearing out the countryside of random mobs or regularly receiving quests to go on adventures. The random quest generation is fun so you don't get bored of it and combined with this and city building there is always something to keep you occupied. The new hero leveling mechanic is just icing on the cake!<

uhhh.. last time I played endless space it didn't look like a board game where you conquer 23 planets "the galaxy!" vs 1 opponent. Granted you can play "Tiny" galaxy with 16 planets against a single opponent in Endless Space (Small is 32 planets), you are missing out on a lot if you do. The only thing similar between this game and Endless Space are the space battles though I admit the space battle graphics look prettier in Galactic Reign. Rest of the game looks like

I avoided titles with online DRM like the plague until one that I couldn't resist came on the market (Damn you Anno2070!!). Unfortunately I had the worst experience with it as the server was down more times than I can remember turning my game into a reduced functionality 'demo' so to speak. Because of this the expansion pack received the middle finger from me and no matter how tempting a title it may be I will never purchase any games that support always on DRM. Why compan

I noticed when the enemy captures my outposts the land in it's control area becomes 'revived' however when I build outposts it doesn't revive the land. Is this a bug or is this intentional? Spending 300 mana to 'revive' the land in a 3 square block is proving costly >_>

Removing tediousness is good. Look at X-Com re-imagined, they took out weapon magazines and everyone objected at first but almost everyone was happy with the change. Overall they removed a lot of tediousness from the original xcom and the game is great fun to play. You just get into the nitty gritty and have a great time. Real life in game does not equal fun gameplay. Real life is tedious, I don't play games to experience real life :)

What a coincidence I was just thinking of making a post similar to this. I only returned a few days ago and just cannot stop playing Fallen Enchantress!! I was an early adopter of Elemental with hopes it would be the remake of MOM but due to performance issues of the initial release and poor gameplay I could not bring myself to play it. I patiently waited for Fallen Enchantress, however when FE 1.0 was released I still had the bad experience from Elemental in my mind and could not bri

Yes mods were created using valve's engine pre-steam times. Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, Natural Selection etc were all fantastic mods that boosted the popularity of Half-Life. Correct me if I'm wrong but ever since the implementation of Steam I have not seen any popular mods come out for their games like Half-Life 2. Team Fortress 2 you had to pay for, Portal you had to pay for, and every other mod that used to be free suddenly became pay to play games. Even the "Episodic" approach was jus

I belong in Cat 3 and a bit of Cat 2 as well. People don't realise that if Steam does become the monopoly that controls distribution then they're going to have to "Jailbreak" their steam client/games to get the full functionality they want (modding). Seriously is there anyone whom hasn't mod chipped or jailbroken some sort of hardware that they own so that they can get more functionality from the platform they paid for? I've already noticed the modding community going stale and moldy with ste

Its good not being left in the dark and informed of what's happening with updates. A lot of other games I've purchased I'd be hanging on forums seeking information and the only information they would spoon feed would be "it'll be done when its done". At least now I know that you guys are working hard to take the game up one notch higher. Thanks very much for the latest 1.08 info! Absolutely love Stardock's customer service in a world where a lot of the services I pay for generally have abysma

WOW! I've never seen such dedication, passion and focus for a product that didn't meet people's expectations before. Usually if something is a flop other companies cut their losses and leave the fans out to dry but I don't feel ripped off at all with my purchase of Elemental just seeing the dedication and perseverance of the makers ensures me that we the fans won't be left out to fend for ourselves. The potential of Elemental is looking quite bright.

Big thanks for another quick patch. I also had the Brilliant and Meditative traits crash the game when saving a custom sov. Very happy with the speed boost in the game and now I can finally play to end game :)

Would play Starcraft 2 but no LAN play so we get extreme pings to play with a mate sitting next to you because you're sharing a net connection with 1000+ people deployed overseas. Reinstalled AOW:SM and been playing that, its losing my interest pretty quick though as its so easy. I do enjoy the graphics and depth but its easy to exploit AI. Started up SOSE again the other night to try out the bailknight's graphical mod. Was thinking of playing it today but looks like the patch
Threads like this, with the quick dev response to a question that many developers would either shrug off or ignore (by locking the thread and any like it), is why I still have some faith in Elemental and Stardock.
Its fantastic being treated like a customer instead of a sales statistic. Most other companies just shrug off any complaints, fix what THEY think is important then get started on milking the franchise to make 2,3
