ZzZzZz... getting sick of these I want an apology signed with Brad's blood posts. People seriously need to find another hobby.

Steam already tried 'subscription' based game sales called "DLC" packs. They have failed miserably with me as I refuse to fork out money for additional content even if its pocket change worth. Example: purchased Empire Total War. They release new units and you have to pay extra. Look at modding community, they produce near identical units but gets decimated shortly after by steam by butchering modding capabilities of the game. I reinstalled AOW:SM and been killing time with that while waiting for the slowdown fix for Elemental. Shame you can't find it for sale anywhere though. I heard they're going the 'steam' route sometime soon. They've also been working on a new patch for years now but it doesn't look like it'll see the light of day.

Have to agree. I've been playing empire since release of the game and I never train units in cities as I can pretty much own everything till about late game when units with a lot of health start popping out. But then you can transfer essence to another hero and get him to summon one, your children to summon one and so forth till you have an unstoppable army! Really fun to use as Empire but I was in tears when I lost an army to just one of these from another Empire nation attacking me :(

Has anyone got screenshots with rivers in them? I've yet to see any rivers in the game which was featured in a screenshot on the site ages ago. It looked really cool seeing a river of lava on the evil side and a pure stream of water on the good side.

I still get lost researching domination tech. No matter how many techs I research I always get stuck on lvl2 notables till about 100 turns into the game when I finally figure out which one takes me to lvl3!

I find hexes annoying as well purely for the fact that you cannot move in a straight line and have to zig-zag around the place. Bring on octagons!

for point 7. don't you mean "Domination" research for Empire? Conquest is for soldier and equipment improvements.

I was hurting for food in my last game when all of a sudden I had extra food out of nowhere. Hadn't built any new improvements or anything. So I build more housing to level my city and later on I was horrified to find out my city has -3 prestige because of a food shortage :( Turns out all the extra food I got was from caravans from other neighbouring nations and when they slowly started being conquered by the AI the caravans stopped and I had a lack of food. I wish there was a chart that show

Very handy tips TY! I managed to be victorious just exploring with a bit of luck and magic summons. My sovereign in his travels found a trinket that allowed him to summon a sand golem then later on another one! With his essence boosted he could summon some other minions as well which quickly grew his one man crew into a force to be reckoned with. Wiped out the first faction I ran into and captured their city and am popping settlements all over the map while looking for other opponents. Explor

The pioneer never spawned for me in my game. I've put the campaign on shelf till they work out the kinks in it. Thoroughly enjoying custom games far too much atm :)

Hear Hear! Very happy Stardock customer as well. I'm an old school 'MOM' player so I couldn't pass up Elemental. Initial release was somewhat buggy but since the 0-day patch and the hotfix I've been having a blast playing the game bringing back memories of 'MOM' but with a hell of a lot better graphics and sound. I was amazed with the modding utilities bundled with the game allowing for so much customization. Really looking forward to this game's future potential with what modders can do with

Been playing custom game all night since patching and hotfix. So addictive, just lost a game to the AI, gonna start a new one with better knowledge of the game now that I've played it :) Just one more turn...

been hitting "Check for Updates" for the past 30 mins now.... is it suppose to update to a new patch version or just do some stealth, ninja change without notifying me of anything? :O
