What time does Game #30 start?
Trojasmic
"AI still casting stupid strategic spells." I thought there were no stupid spells in EFE.
It was on December 26th that Fallen Enchantress reached a place where I wanted to play it (over playing SWTOR) rather than having to play it.
Can someone please check on Brad? I'm afraid he's succumbed to the disease that all who play EFE will succumb to.
Did somebody say the troll repellent was off? So I can start trolling again? Sweet!
I like the idea of not every tactical battle being basically the same 20 x 20 square tile map like EWOM. Hope that's what we're seeing here... some crazy variety in the tactical battle maps.
I want FE now! I've been on the fence of giving a shit about this game, and now with all the recent Brad post, I'm now very excited! Gimme Gimme, Demandobots demand! Oh, and good job.
Calm down dude... lower your expectations. This game is going to suck and cause all sorts of incurable diseases.
Almost glad there is no beta yet. My expectations are beginning to rise. Don't. Assume it will suck and give you a terrible disease.
I didn't want to be the one to have to tell him that... glad you did.
I can see Derek's next contest already... DESIGN AN INJURY TO DEFEATED CHAMPIONS!
I'm a loyal zealot so please don't ban me.
I'm saving all my constructive criticism for EFE.
Quoting Fearzone, reply 37Admit it, you guys are really playing Skyrim. We were having our update meeting a few days ago and I was going around the table until I got to Paul, our Art Director, and I asked what he was working on. His answer was "I'm trying to get my enchanting up to 100..." Needless to say, this had nothing to do with FE.
What? There's no
Neither did I. [e digicons][/e]
Nope... if people don't like FE, it's going to be the last game they make.
Yes, if EFE is not successful then Derek will be fired so he can begin work on his own Fall From Heaven mod for Civ V. Jon Shafer will be fired and he will go back to Firaxis to start working on Civ VI. The cool thing about Civ VI is that it will use tetrahedrons instead of hexes.
He could have cast some powerful magical spells and blew them away.
Maybe he was saving his mana to cast teleport or volcano later on?!?
It's not out yet.
That explains it... sorry for jumping the gun!
I'm lost. I tried to find and download the new Stardock Central. The website is telling me to create a new account. I don't think that's right. Shouldn't I just be logging in with my old Impulse account? How else would you know what games I have?
around thanksgiving means January... don't you know that if a developer ever gives you a date, you should always add 2 months to it?
My question is will every game have the exact same number of wildlands or will every game be different? For example, if there are only 5 wildland types, will every map (small, medium, or large) have exactly the same 5 wildland types or is it different than that?
Don't hate!
One of the big but largely under-appreciated features of Elemental: Fallen Enchantress is the new random generation.
It's only "under-appreciated" because we haven't got our hands on it yet. I, for one, will be over-appreciating this feature. I loved the HOMM series and this was my biggest gripe (the lack of quality random map generation). I love the Civ series because of it. For bonus points, you could
I think the article was referring to the beta release date. Beta in March 2012. Final release in March 2013.
I'd put the odds of him winning at about 50/50.
I'll take that bet. Where do I send my money?
Wouldn't this problem be solved to some extent by having more ways to slow-down the march of a stack of doom?
that's not a bad idea dude... stacks of 1 or 2 have full movement points... 3 or 4 lose 1 movement point... 5 or 6 lose 2 movement points, etc. i always hated getting steamrolled while playing Civ. i had to learn how to be a steamroller to finally have any success with that game on the higher difficulti
I'd like to take the opportunity to turn the scenario around. This sort of focused army invasion is exactly what the AI should be doing to you. Now, obviously I don't know the full circumstances, but in E:wom a big problem was that the AI never seemed to amass that "killer army" themselves and invade you. My point here is that this isn't just an AI weakness, it's an "issue" with game design. And just as the AI has to c
Just want to say that not everybody love challenge. Some people hope for extreme AI, while the others just want to enjoy the game. If the AI is too difficult to the second type of people, they will consider the game as a bad game. You just need to make a standard but fun AI for Beginner, Easy and Normal AI, and give everything out to the level beyond that. Players shouldn't blame the developer for easy AI if they play in easy or normal AI; b
