Keep going! Looks like the AI just needs to generate a little mana. ;-)

The AI must have liked being next to that river better!

Thanksgiving is Nov 24 in the U.S. Brad couldn't help himself. Now he's starting to tout his own game by saying we're only going to get a disease. Don't do it Brad! Don't give in to the hype. This game will suck and we will get cancer from it.
I'm excited for Fallen Enchantress (btw when is beta / release.) I'd be willing to participate in some focused testing if you have need.
The smart money is on Valentine's Day 2012. We all know how Brad loves Valentine's Day.
Still, when compared to many things one could do in this world, it is pretty minor, no? And remember to read my final version of my last post. What I do when playing a super hard difficulty of a single player game that is not an Ironman mode like in Nethack, doesn't involve hacking the code or modding myself a huge advantage, and is not used for the purpose of making a public high score - is my business, even if I do choose to rev
There are only 9 tiles to a city. Each level gives you one unique, random building. The resources and terrain near a city decide what kinds of buildings can be constructed. There are national wonders and world wonders. Every city is limited on growth by local food supply: this limits the city level and thereby its building options as each level will allow new types of buildings and upgrades for the old ones. There are 5 city levels in the vanil
Next Time: AI dealing with quests and goodie huts, the new Quest and Notable Location system.
This is something I'm excited to hear more about.
Here's what I expect from the beta: 1. Lots o' bugs. Bugs, bugs, bugs. We'll be finding bugs all over the place. 2. Performance issues. EWOM had a ton of performance issues and I suspect we'll still be trying to iron out the memory issues in EFE. 3. Poor AI. We already knew this would happen. The game mechanics have to be built first so the programmers can tell the AI how to use those mechanics. The
I'm hoping to get the beta for my birthday in April next year.
Now we just need a sweet, polished UI like Gal Civ 2 ....
love the title! [e digicons]k1[/e]
It's mind boggling to me to read some people still say that the AI in this game is to easy, even on ridiculous setting.
I think there's a clue in this statement. Are we sure this chap is playing on the right setting?
My suggestion is for Stardock to fix it since this bug has been there since Day 1.
I just wanted to say "hi" before they lock this thread too. "Hi!".
Speaking of bugs... when do we start the Beta?
I'm just throwing an idea out there, the other selection marker we saw was green, and was supposed to have an animation. Maybe this is the enemy marker? There's a tooltip when he mouses over which says "This unit is allied with the Empire", and the mouse turns into an attack icon. https://draginol.stardock.net/images/2de77d45b139_C263/image_11.png Also a yellow icon and another tooltip on this hero: https://draginol
Maybe the point of the video was to show that you can't see into the tile next to you... I know we want the world to be the great scary unknown, but don't you think you should be able to see into the tile next to you?
Talking about Fall From Heaven 2, I'm very intersted to see what Derek can do when not tied by limitations of just modding a game. While Fall from Heaven 2 was excellent, it did suffer quite a lot from a clunky UI and a variety of limitations due to being just a Civilization mod instead of its own game. With regards to people not being interested in Elemental right now, there's not much that can (or in my opinion should) be don

They have basically been on different tracks for many months now, while tinkering with WoM continued, which saw the addition of recent bugs like the 'move every other turn' or whatever bug on the strategic map.
