Trojasmic
I see pretty ... oh so pretty.
Dude kill them all or they will come back later to haunt you. And don't worry the AI is finding plenty of champions to make it a fair fight later on.
If the AI and the monsters aren't fighting that would definitely have to be a bug...
I'm seeing the AI fight monsters, but I'm not sure if the monsters are fighting the AI. Brad/Derek, can you confirm?
But there's still months of work ahead.
I'm glad to hear that... please don't get an itchy trigger finger to release too early. There are still a few things we need to make this a Metacritic 90+ game.
For the first time in 2 years, the Elemental universe is starting to beat back the Trojasmic. Pariden actually sent a couple of waves of full troops at me. I've had a tough time killing the Tarth and Gilden leaders. I just tried to waltz into those empires and roll like I did in v.75, but it didn't work. Maybe it's the exp nerf, but this is great. Finally a challenge! Keep up the good work. P.S. I'm playing on challenging.
This doesn't happen every time. Seems random... Anybody else seen this?
Quit attacking bears dude! LOL! I bet you wouldn't be against MAUL if we had BEAR CALVARY!!! P.S. Don't tweak too much. I like maul.
No I mean fertile tiles to settle on with my Sov at the very beginning of a game. I've seen the npcs scrambling about the map as I have been and i can tell you on my 5th try the "Settle" Button has not lit up. I've racked up more conquest victories just trying to find some place to settle, and still havent found anywhere to build a city. The only time I've been able to settle was in the tutorial.
</
Agreed... and we've been asking for this one since EWOM ;-)
yeah this has been a problem since EWOM... i wish they'd fix it.
Nice job on fixing up the questing in EFE! - lots of quests - rewards are interesting - quests give us choices to make - whenever we're required to go to a second place, that second place isn't too far away The quest UI screens are a little bit clunky at times, but overall, great improvement over EWOM!
What I want is to have a significant cost to dying. In 0.76 you will get injuries if your champ goes down even if you win. But I think with such weak injuries, they might as well not be given out at all.
Yeah I like this idea... After I've let my champion get killed injured a few dozen times to the point he's almost useless, I should have to make the choice to retire him as a city manager.
For one of the quests, I gave a butcherman a potion of restoration thinking something positive would happen (he would join me, give me item/money, etc.). Instead, he just drank it and died.
Did you know you can LOSE BATTLES in this game? That's a feature a quick reload will save you from. WE SHOULD REMOVE THE ABILITY TO LOSE BATTLES!!!!!!
This is true. The Tarth leader has killed my sovereign twice. Btw, I thought the game was supposed to be over once our sovereign dies.
I think the mana system is good so far (the only problem is the way casters waste it on autoplay which I've heard is being addressed).
Ok I think I see now. We also have Counterstrike as an ability as armies level up, but no First Strike.
We already have First Strike... it's called initiative.
please
I thought there was also a 1 mana/turn maintenance cost too. I like the Imbue mechanic.
For example, when you play Civ 4 you play with AI, and AI play with you.
I agree. Civ 4 AI set the bar really high and now I expect that from every game I play.
Given this is the first beta, I hesitate even bringing anything up but since you asked... 1. the UI - this has come a long way, but still needs a lot of work. for example, the currently selected troop/city/quest should be highlighted in the list down the left side, there are tips/explanations for some things not for others, the list down the left side also needs a scroll bar when the number of troops/cities/quests grows more than the screen can show, black on black is ugly
That shouldn't happen right?
first!
There are lots of spells... just check the HyperGameNuts or whatever is it called. You just have to recruit the right heroes and play the game many times. Some of the magic spells you get will be different every time. They probably need to tweak the fire spells or everyone will just do direct damage every time. For example, Burning Hands should burn the caster too. Fiery Dart should randomly bounce and hit a second target (maybe one your own armies). Fire
