give 'em some time... maybe another week?
Derek/Brad, every one of these changes is good no matter what people are saying about raze then barren, 1000 turn soft limit, exp sharing, etc. Don't listen to them. Nice work!
The gauntlet has been thrown down. I will put my EWOM 37-0 record on the line against the EFE Beta 2.
Why don't they just drop a volcano on your arss?
C'mon Brad... an experienced gamer like you should be able to win this game on Normal. Do some research, build some buildings, recruit some champions, crank out some units, be smart in your tactical battles, and go take over the world!
I would like EFE to be the best of Civ IV, King's Bounty, Master of Magic, Heroes of Might and Magic, Tropico, and World of Warcraft. Is that a good suggestion?
WOW should be the clear winner... WOW aside, I would pick Civ IV.
Brad, you have computer algorithms at your fingertips so do some mathematical evaluations on this... If the AI can win the battle, find the most efficient way to take out the human armies one by one. As others have suggested, don't fight multiple armies (unless AOE spells); instead focus on killing one stack, then the next, then the next. If the AI can't win the battle, find a way to rate the human armies then take out the most you can. Make sense?</p
visiting at my mom's house... wishing I had spent my $50 on something else. what a disaster!
So is that it? Are we going to hear anymore about the AI Wars: February Edition?
With FE out, I wouldn't play WOM ever again, even if FE never improved from .77
This.
Right after I dropped $20 on the Patriots, I also dropped $20 on no Beta this week. My bets are looking pretty good right about now... I might even go double-or-nothing on no Beta for the following week. Any takers?
One of the things they did really well in Civ 5 is the event notification system. They should do the same in EFE. The events should pop up very clearly and neatly on the right side and then there are some that can be discarded (not looked at) and others that we have to deal with before we can end the turn. The thing we have now in EFE is a carry over from EWOM and needs to go!
I agree more could be done with Path of the Governor. They should earn XP as fast as fighting champions and it would be nice if we had more solid Path of Governor traits to choose from. In addition to the +1 research, +1 gildar, there should be stuff like: Librarian: +1 research for each research building in stationed city Guildsmith: +1 materials for each materials building in stationed city Trader: +1 gildar for each gildar building in s
Agree on second point.
Go cheese!
Throwing knives by nature have a short range. To extend the range beyond three would not be realistic.
then there's no point in having them dude. if you can just run up and attack the enemy for more damage why would you throw the knives? the point is that you're supposed to get one throw with them before having to enter melee.
Now, a random event that turns eveyrone into robots is beyond our scope of course.
Can this be in Gal Civ 3?
Anybody know?
Will you please turn up the chance of finding bows?
Right now they have a range of three, but (almost) everything in the game can reach you on the next turn when its their turn to attack. You should be able to throw the knives safely for 1 turn and then have to deal with the melee the turn after.
Quoting mastroego, reply 40 Personally speaking, I'm not real interested in listening to people who think we should jetison the tech tree or not have mana in the game or whatever. I'm glad our community is welcoming enough that people feel comfortable posting these ideas. But it's not as if something like that is going to even be considered.
Glad to hear that... this game is real
