I think you should just need to be on Friendly, Close, or Warm terms with an AI to buy their stuff.
I've noticed this too.

How about giving my Silver Flute some love and put it in the Hiergamenon?
I can see Brad's next poll. Do you want a 3 grain / 3 material / 1 essence city right next to a river or be one tile away in a 3 grain / 3 material / 2 essence city that can't build piers. Oh the choices ....

I would use ranged units in addition to your melee troops. I've found success using max armor/hp/def troops with counterattack weapon and defending every turn while very offensive (no defense) range troops pick away from the back.
The potential traits are the best ones in the game if you get them early. Don't pick them after level 5.
First, they static blasted the same target instead of spreading it around. Second, they attacked that target until one of them got injured so a healthy one moved in to attack me and the injured one retreated so it could run hide then static blast me again. Awesome!
Tuidjy , try playing one of the standard sovs/factions on a map with standard resources. Or if you really want to play customized, choose some traits that aren't automatic insane ridiculous wins. I don't think SD will be as sympathetic to someone playing highly unique game setup choices. P.S. Don't make me quote Brad here... "Maybe this ga

[/quote] Funny... this is probably the most reported bug in every beta so far. Now can you give 2 more cents using Heavenfall's UI post? Do you have 4 cents?
We're going off tangent here, but there are a few other UI issues wrong with city enchantment icons: 1. Heavenfall reported one. It's hard to see the little half-circles. There needs to be a little colored full circle or something so they stand out. 2. I want to be able to hover my mouse over them and get info. 3. To Brad's point, we should be able to right-click on them and disenchant. Anyway, was somebody saying somet
For the record, I don't have any issue with 3-turn building minimums. And some of the resource improvements were being built too fast so I welcome the changes. Having said that, there are still some buildings that cost too much. We tend to make our 2 material cities into conclaves. Unfortunately, the research buildings are very labor intensive so it takes way too long for 2 material conclaves to build them. FIX IT!
I thought this article was going to be about Brad, Derek, or Jon having a baby.
