You forgot to say "Hound out."
I see a lot of posts suggesting we slow down the exp rate for champions. I see the problem on the other side. We're giving too much exp for some of the monsters and not enough for fighting against AI troops. Some of the monsters are rather easy to take down, but they give enough exp to advance your hero 2-4 levels in one shot. On the other hand, you can fight a city with 9+ troops and walk away without a level upgrade. So let's keep this in mind when tryi

There seem to be a lot of Aussies and British people in this forum... I would do a translation for them first.
In the end, I appriciate that Frogboy & Co are taking the time to appease the 1-5% modding crowd. It's going to chain react into the 10-25% mod-players crowd. However there is still that 75% that will play (and buy) the game for it's vanilla alone. (the % numbers are posted here are not based on any fact. They are based on my perception of modding in the gaming market)
Since you posted those numb
Here's the changelog: Fixed some stuff Broke some stuff Tried to make the UI prettier and more usable Tried to make the AI smarter and more devious Added some tactical maps that look like dungeons Turned on workshop editor and modding tools Improved the look of fonts Attempted to reduce pioneer spam a little bit Tried to balance hero leveling a little bit
Well, your current and OUR current are different things. We've made a lot of changes since Beta 4 because, frankly, we agree with a lot of what has been said. There's more to do. But balance != new features. We don't need to come up with some new game mechanic in Beta 5 to address balance issues. It's not like we need create some new resource or invent some new type of cost. For example, and th
LOL OP! Time to brush up on your modding skills for FE or shake the dust off EWOM. I'm sure Brad will be happy to hear that he gets to add one more notch on his bedpost.
This could be a great thread. I'm interested in hearing what other players do for unit building too. Here are some of the first units that I build. 1. Spearman with all leather plus precision, bloodthirsty, and muscle 2. Dagger defenders with all leather plus constitution, defender, and ironskin 3. Cold staff mages with no armor, ring of the glacier plus fast, precision, and charge (do you guys think precision and charge are the right
Quoting Cruxador, reply 10I don't really like this flowchart. It disregards the possibility of a person thoroughly reading and assessing the situation and still hanging around for discussion. Or for insults, as the case may be. I've seen enough political flame wars to know that it's extremely rare for the people discussing it to have actually read what's going on fully. Besides that, anyone who get
Something people have to understand is that Brad likes "land grabbing" to be a part of his strategy games. GalCiv is the same way. I've had to modify my Civilization strategies to fit Fallen Enchantress. So to be good at FE, you need to start your games by cranking out pioneers just like the AI does. Here are some suggestions based on whatever the real source of your "pioneer spam" pain might be: 1. The AI gets all the good stuff: <p style=
Actually, FEAR is working as designed. It's supposed to frighten the player into panic when nothing happens on the tactical battle screen so that we click the auto-play button at our own peril.

A couple of random thoughts... 1. I'm thinking they're holding back some surprises for the game's release too. I'm torn about this because I like surprises, but I'm afraid the surprises might be riddled with bugs/poor design, etc., if we don't get a chance to beta test first. 2. Since Beta 5 is about polish and bugs, I plan on re-reporting all of the polish and bug issues I've reported previously if they're
I might be the only one who thinks this, but I think the range weapons are balanced okay. My issue is that I would like more one-throw options like the throwing knives (btw, throwing knives need 1 more tile of range). And I would like to find more ranged weapons as treasure items.
I've always heard that everything on the Internet is true.
that happened to me too. i think it's a bug.
I'm experiencing more performance slow downs in .952 than I was in previous versions. Anybody else? It happens in both tactical battles and while on the strategic map. How much will my home network performance affect this?
I would like to be able to schedule my own popup reminders. How many strategy games are out there that have this? None, that I know of. For example, I would love to be able to remind myself to change enchantments on City A in 5 turns or check diplomatic trade options with Pariden on Turn 25 or go to the bathroom in 20 turns, etc.
I didn't know Lord Xia had a pseudonym.
