Thanks Boogie, I forgot to mention, large map, single continent. Also when starting a game, the default number of factions should give the player an indication of what the developer thinks is the right balance of factions vs map size.
Blaze of Glory
I had problems with this as well. You HAVE to have a building touching on the horizontal or vertical of the fertile land to build the farm (or it seems a mine, etc.) unlike previous builds. Personally, I am not a fan of this. I think you should be able to build these improvements, however, they can be razed by a monster or enemy unit that stumbles across is unless there it touches the city, in which case it is in the enclosed barricade wall.
Figured it was time to be the "bad" guy so took imperial. Stability is much improved, although the game seems to run slower now. Probably from having minor factions added and all the calcs for spawning monsters, etc. Guardian units are pretty neat. AI is expanding their empires, although it seems the Kingdoms grow better. Will look into it some more. The kingdom next to me is pretty big and another one grew fast enough to trap my monarch on that side of the map until he learne
Lucky. Imperial faction cannot seem to build any!
If I could have deleted the post, I would have. Sort of damned if you do, damned if you don't on editing it after replies.
Personally, I like Bioware's story telling. That said, not much is new anymore. See "Reality TV", sex, violence, etc. to be "new" and "edgy". It is bum fighting and porn. A tried and true formula can make a solid story. While there were some good ideas, George Lucas painted himself into many a corner. That said, he used this concept to make Star Wars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_He

To my small mind, it means after 3-B they will go Gold, but release a new beta for modders. Of course, I am an idiot, so you should not listen to me... although I am probably right, either way, I would play it safe and ignore me.
"This week was a short week for Stardock as we took last Friday and Monday off for the 4th of July Weekend." Slackers!... (J/K) Thanks for the update.
Bram Stoker's writing rocks. It is very personal and reads like a great mystery novel.

I love Hawking! Talk about making a silk purse from a sow's ear! That said, he can be wrong. I especially loved the bet of can information leave a black hole? Black holes violate the laws of entropy, but the rules of black holes say they are static. So, a clash of wills and minds comes up with this and an admission of wrong. He was wrong about the black holes! <sp
I agree that upgrading should be paid for. After all, no one is remodeling my house into a villa with state of the art appliances and expensive furniture and art for free! slums should be compact. Each tile housing more than a house. In fact, it should be the densest housing tile in the game, period. Slums should be practically free, but give the pretige hit it currently has. you can ugrade a hut to a house on the same tile villa should perhaps be two tiles - o

I have to agree with Recnelis2 on that score. Now, if you could have the peasants flee in panic, yelling and screaming as my troops invade the city....

Why do folks like bringing up "Atlas Shrugged"? It is a piece of junk. 30 Rock crack wrapped into a bad manifesto. "If I put my finger in a glass of water, then remove it, the hole will remain because I am so it!" mentality makes me ill. Dagny is a worse tramp than Bella in Twilight! The topic of this thread seems to be against everything the book is supposedly about as well! Corporations with bad business models using the government to keep them afloat! So to stay somewh
I rather like the idea that each creature has a cycle of reproduction. Small creatures produce several offspring (spiders, etc.) medium size produce less (wolves, etc.) and large ones even less (ogres, etc.) Once the young grow up and overwhelm the local area/tile, they wander and can settle in the right terrain and make new "homes" and repeat the process. Mostly I am thinking of the old orcs, goblins, etc. of many a story. Alone they are a piece of cake, let them grow to mass
