Well, if the real problem is the AI and not humans, I don't see how adding more things for humans to use will help as now the human player is OP even more. Also, I think kills go to the closest city. I do agree if a city reached its limit then the "souls" should go to the next closest city. If that is full, then the next, etc. Really the dead AI is just a more extreme example of all faction AIs not really understanding the game that well. So far only the Yithril seem dange

IDK I tried the dead for the first time, playing the Wildlands map for the first time as well. I left in on challenging because I hadn't used them before and people said they were tough to play. It took a while to get the hang of it, but once I did I steam rolled the ai. That was without the ai being that close to me. Really the wildlands themselves and some of the quests were much more challenging than the ai. I will try the Dead on a harder level on a random map, p
I personally feel ALL champions should be able to wear magic armor, not just those that can have plate. After all, it is magical! Perhaps some would get a bigger bonus than others based on the class, but why couldn't my mage wear it?
I agree that the ai seems to really do tactical battles poorly. Even when it has ranged units, it targets a catapult first, even though the damage to it is only a couple of damage points. Why not target my spell caster or mages that have little armor? Why not target units that have high attack and little armor? When fighting city battles especially, I (and most everyone probably) target the highest melee units with least armor for physical damage and slow, terror, magical damage
and as long as you have a smiley, the world smileys back at you! I feel synapses dying in the cyberspace.
You are all assholes, that is why I love you all.
while I have an idea, please clarify.
It should be obvious in most cases. There is a major grammatical difference between "well" and "we'll" and it jars the reader out of the moment. Now imagine the difference between "shall" and "she'll" or worse, shall and will. If the publisher cannot distinguish between where an apostrophe or punctuation lies, why should I believe they didn't change something else more complex? If they cannot do 2+2=4 why should I believe E=MC2? <
I have a nook and just got a tablet on company expense (score!) If my thoughts were expressed earlier by others, I apologize, but they are truly my own thoughts as I have not been trolling the threads. I was never an English major, much less a connoisseur of language. However, I have noticed in the digital medium a huge lack of quality control. Obviously, no one proofreads what scanners translate and at times it changes the entire thought of the sentence! If we cannot trust

guys that name themselves after movies
Maybe they should be more like StarCraft or WOW and make a game that really is only about multi-player and then they don't have to worry about AI at all! 1) Jon isn't in charge of Elemental, so saying he is going to "ruin" it doesn't tread water 2) You have no idea what was going on behind closed doors 3) To the folks that are all up in arms, you never needed a second chance? Even if I accept it was all his fault, you are saying it was so
I would agree, except for the interesting part...
Wow, good thing no one here every did something some people didn't like! I don't get the hate and angst going on. It isn't like the guy ran death camps or invaded countries. Personally I didn't like Civ IV UNTIL BTS came out. So for me, that expansion saved CIV IV. CIV V changed some things up. Some good, some not so good and some, meh. There are some improvements I would like to see, but overall it is a pretty good game. Something that is getting harder to find on the PC ev
There is something I would like that I have never seen in a game. A proclaimation on unclaimed land. You can essentially tag an area that you have no cities in and your borders have not reached yet and "stake out" an area. It doesn't supply you with LOS or anything, you are just claiming that no one better mess with that area or settle it. If other factions do settle in it, that can be a cause for declaration of war, but certainly a loss of diplomatic relations. You could limit this b
I would like to see factions band together to stop expansion of another faction that is getting too big/powerful. (band together for defense) I also would like to see factions switch allegiance (fallen to kingdom or vice-versa) if a similar/ally faction is getting too big. (treachery) Finally, I would like to see factions band together to demolish a faction between them. (dog pile) This should result in massive wars, shifting alliances and interesting gaming.
Err, can you at least spell the man's name correctly? axton is the creator and lead designer of the Fall from Heaven series of fantasy strategy games
Thanks for all the good wishes, I am very excited to work on Elemental. I made over 16,000 posts at CivFanatics while working on Fall from Heaven so it's safe to say you will all be hearing a lot from me (and that I hope to hear a lot from all of you). The sad truth is I spent way to much time looking for a non-dorky picture of me and that's the best I could come up with. If it h

However, I still recognize what an awesome mod his team created for civ4. I downloaded FfH before it had manual, when every few weeks (or was it months... lol) a new version of the mod was released. Patch t, and u, and v. Sometimes a 'new' versi
Quoting otakucore2, reply 52 Thanks and goodbye. Finally! I was growing tired of your absolutely dreary attitude. Elemental might not be the gem everyone expected but it has more potential than most games, especially Civ 5. And I know many are pinning all their hopes on 1.1 but I'm looking far beyond that. Believe me, a bit of tweaking won't satisfy me. Once they attended to the complain
As far as the "clearly" part, it seemed clear to me that if the nation I was dominating in that game had 2 level 1 cities and 0 research buildings, the fact that I was getting +9 research per turn from them was completely ludicrous - first off, I was getting 9 more research than their entire civilization produced, and second, I was getting about 1 point of research for every 2 of their citizens. How does that work, just intuitively - how can I possib
I think the argument is old and tired It depends on what "race" is. (channelling some bad Bill Clinton there!) The human race? That is a new construct. Heck, race itself is a poor attempt as well. We call different types of dogs by "breeds" and we call people of different colors by "race" either way you slice it, it is the same thing IMO. If you can reproduce with another animal and that animal retains the reproduction rights of both parents, I believe that is termed&n
I don't have anything to add other than support. Call me arrogant, but if you want to waste my time with diplomacy and not bring anything to the table that makes sense, I will probably invade, loot and pillage you if you keep it up.
Quoting Tydorius, reply 7 I think it'd be interesting if heroes that had armies at the time of a kingdom's demise attempted to take a city for their own even, as a city state or minor faction. Most fantasy worlds have such heroes. Or even mercenary armies.

Might be even more fun if each champion had a 'roll' to determine whether he
