Let us try this again. MP, usually you and a friend, can be fun. As long as that is balanced between map and starting positions. If you want MP with other nations controlled by the ai, then you need a solid ai, especially in co-op mode. So, IMHO, it would be good if the ai, whether single or multi player, was solid.

You go negative when the wages of troops push past your income. It is easy to miss that it is going negative as there is no warning. I went from +8 to -1.5 after building some companies and didn't realize what was going on until I received messages my troops were deserting because I was bankrupt! Granted, I should have keep better tabs on the gildar total at the top. Guess I was channelling the Federal Reserve and thinking I could just print money [e digicons]:P[/e]

I agree with yout first three points I don't understand point 4, I think it is fine the way it is. as to your other 2 additional points, I have no clue what you are saying.

It does seem there should be a "too hit" and a "damage" You could hit a rock golem, but if you hit it with an arrow or something with low damage, then you shoulldn't be able to really do much to it.

AeroWreck The attack/counterattack - In principle, I agree with you. There are a couple of issues though. No unit should be able to counterattack more times than it could attack during that unit's turn Ranged attacks on both sides should be handled first. It shouldn't be an attack/counter in that instance. Both sides just target who they want, then melee. Not a fan of resurrecting the dead. If I lose a single unit, it costs me MP and time/resour

The issue is when you lump a bunch of them together. The attack/defend seems to be The 8 archers with 6 attack and the defender has say 20 defense So when I attack, it isn't 6 attack vs 20 defense 8 times, it is 48 attack vs 20. So essentially I can kill almost anything before it gets near me if I can build an army of channelers and longbowmen parties. If I use war hammers or something like that, then it becomes 192 vs 20! In this scenario, all I have to do it sit

For all the Internet's greatness, it does seem to lower inhibitions faster than alcohol, and rage abounds. I guess we can be thankful the people with suggestions are just as vocal.
Brad I have an idea. Instead of having praise threads and critical threads all over the place, why not start and sticky two threads for just that purpose? With the understanding that people posting those types anywhere else in the forums will have their post deleted. It would make it easier on you and your moderators. Because people would inevitably wind up crossing threads, so we'd just have two stickied flame wars. [/quot
Paradox routinely does the same with their games - they are released mostly with gamebreaking bugs (EU3, or HOI3), but after several months/years of polishing, the games begin to shine.
Put that is the problem. PC games are dying because they come out buggy and it seems most folks these days won't wait for six months or a year. They will be on to the next thing. As the saying goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. While there may be a core gro

I agree in principle with the OP. I have myself lost it a time or two, not out of a desire to flame, but in frustration. I was so excited and looked past some of the posts that it wasn't ready yet, trusting StarDock was holding back some things at it was really just about polish at the end and they were all over it. From the reviews, obviously not quite. The 1.07 should have been the zero day, but even that still has problems. Look, most of us preordered because we were excited and lo

Look, you had a dream, the story behind it is good. It just wasn't fleshed out enough. I get the deadline of August vs February and the book release date. This is your baby! You thought it was solid, but you were not correct. You blinded yourself and, well us. The beta testers bought into you could pull something out of the nether regions. You missed. Sorry, I was really pulling for you, but you missed. I still have faith you will pull out a good game, but, man, really? For all your "

oh come on folks. what about Conan the Barbarian and all that lot? What I find silly is all the "heroes" are always in very good shape. No fat merchants, scholars, etc? I would be nice to see tall, short, thin, fat, etc. NPCs as well. Instead, we are discussing fashion? No one ran around in armor 24-7, it was too hot and bulky! So let's have them dress up like Ken and Barbie and have parties where everyone judges you by your clothes.
