I read the first 25ish pages as well. I was hoping for something better, but it read worse than my crappy emails and posts! Perhaps I read too many books....

If you are saying the debug.err is still there and would be useful, I will be happy to dig it up and send it. I just ask you throw some karma at my fantasy football team at work :p
I try to start the game and get Failed to initialize display. It all ran fine through beta, patches and all. Now I can't start it!

[quote who="seanw3" reply="2" id="2752024"]Good idea. I think you are really on to something with the round table. We should think about how this could possibly implemented as a sort of addition to the current dynasty system, in addition to what you suggested. I would personally love to have an interface in the my kingdom section where I could promote/demote heores to my table of knighthood. This would be an excellent tech to unlock in the adventure tree. Each knight at your table could get b

Those who were in beta at least get a feel for the dynamics, but it is still tough at times. Newbies have no tutorial and the game is certainly not a typical game. So they have no idea of how cities build, grow, what techs do etc. I didn't participate in beta, and didn't read manual, figuring the game by trial and error (and I love to d
I have to think we have a large disconnect here. 1) Those who have been in the betas have a better understanding of the game 2) There is a BIG learning curve. Thanks for the tips. The quest location was waaaaaaay out of my zone. I couldn't sniff it without fighting through hordes. It was an early quest to, so no way to teleport until much later and that, so far, is only to your territory, so it doesn't help.
Apparently you have to marry someone to have a child. Just like real life! (oh wait..) You can have up to four children and that is it, because, well, I don't really know. That said, you can never remarry and never have bastard children. Why? Because... I don't know. Seems it would open a lot of ground, much of it historical, if you had bastard children, annulments, etc. Perhaps a factor of your wisdom in regards to bastard children? If you are wise, you know
In general, I totally agree with you. Perhaps this could be an option for"I am tired of Janusk and his drivel, heard it a thousand times, please let me turn it off!" Traditionally, this is an all or nothing thing. I like the idea of the level of interaction with your advisor, Janusk or otherwise. Perhaps you could assemble a cabinet, round table, whatever you wish to call it. Adviser's from each sector of research (civ, warfare, adventure, magic, diplomacy) could make their

Really, there is a bit of "Why am I doing this" at times. I hope it wasn't pushed out because of the book release, which would have been the same regardless of the game release. There is also the CIV V date, etc. I don't mean to slam Stardock, just agreeing that there is a certain something, heart, soul, fleshing out
Field of Glory. Lot of Euro's and avid miniature gamers there. Very good folks multiplayer, easy to setup a match and meet someone from the other side of the world.
[quote who="BoogieBac" reply="34" id="2751495"]Unfortunatly, we've run into some issues and will have to post tomorrow (hopefully mid-day, if things go well the rest of tonight). The big changes in 1.07 will be... - performance boost (Q/A seeing a 15-ish FPS boost in apples-to-apples save comparisons) - lots of memory fixes, including game-within-a-game and sound issues - tweaked calculation of unit group battle stats (shouldn't be as powerful) - grouped units s
I feel that factions should be able to create parties that have the choice of trying to be stealthy. The reason being that monsters and wandering parties can get pretty big and it is tough to keep exploring because you are fighting all the time. If I wanted, I should be able to try to sneak past the monsters without being seen. This could be a function of terrain cover and dexterity, intelligence and wisdom of the party. This stealth could also be used to spy/cross another factio
Some (or most of this) will have been noted elsewhere. It is a matter of posting what I have seen/observed as I have not had time to read much of the forum in the last week or two. Overall there are some good things going on, but their is a lot of polish and tweaks to go. I have not had the crashes, at least not yet, from playing some 15 hours or so. I am not saying the game doesn't crash for others, just saying mine seems ok. That said, there are memory leaks all over. The game

Just too funny not to share http://diogenes-sinope.blogspot.com/2007/07/potterdammerung-mega-spoilers.html
Pardon me as this has been around for a while, but it is so awesome, I figured I would share. Chapter 1 has been around for eons. Chapter 2 and 3 are great. Chapter 4, should probably have stopped at chapter 3. http://www.adultswim.com/shows/robotchicken/extras/ivc/starwars/index.html
It is tough to find a good book (excepting the "Good Book", not looking for a fight either way), so I thought I would share. I have lately been reading Michael Connelly books and have been enjoying them. The "Lincoln Lawyer" was, in my opinion, one of the best books I have read in a long time. Feel free to disagree, just no spoilers for those that may be interested.
