Dragon Age Origin, not so much the sequel
I bought it after all the praise of the game. I played for about an hour and was so annoyed and bored. I felt like I was playing a WoW clone made single player.

My vote goes to Vampire:Bloodlines. Even without the player created patch it was amazing(despite the publisher pushing it out before it was ready), immersive, various ways to complete the many quests, etc. Amazing. The soundtrack was excellent too. And the voice acting. A lot of replayability, I rarely play an RPG more than twice let alone about 8-10 times. Ok i'll stop.
For all of the MOO II lovers, check out StarDrive (the beta is on Steam). Lots of MOO II influence and a great game in the making. Hyperspace Flux, Planet anomalies, Bultrathi (now called Kulrathi or something). I have played the beta a little yesterday and it is very promising. There are lets play vids on youtube (from the master Das himself).
Stardrive seemed interesting until it said it was an RTS. I f

Does anyone have suggestions for playing board games online? Specifically the geekier, more complex involved games. Like Agricola, Twilight Imperium, Arkham Horror, etc.
I was at first really into the original game, then I got bored after about a week and a half. The replayability is there, but the battles are so often the same. And dull. I find that I just quick fight rather then fight them. The game needs a lot more variety and less provinces to control. I can't even get myself to play the beta version of the game. Just much too bored.
I've been playing, but i'm finding its becoming fairly repetitive. i start getting drowsy playing. Anyone else? I mean its a great idea and done well, but each fight is me basically waiting for the enemies to walk closer to my crossbows. And the building up of the shard you're attempting to take over is essentially the same each time. I'm really hoping the new version, The Broken World, will let you play a variety of species.

Tons of depth and difficult choices and I love the art style (more medievalish than cartoonish). Only weird thing is the severe lack of female portraits or females in general. Also playing the same race isn't that fun at all. Anyways haven't had this fun since FFH. To me, Eador ranks among the very best in the fantasy 4x genre! Lack of fe
Could someone tell me what "gold reserve" means specifically in eador:genesis?
Been plaing Eador:Genesis. From what I can tell of Eador: Masters of the Broken World and Eador: Genesis are the same game, the strong difference being the graphics. Anyone else finding the same? Or have you tried MotBW in beta and found it a lot different?

What else are you hiding from the rest of the world, oh glorious Russia?! I've been really impressed with the quality of games coming from Eastern European studios lately. The Witcher Series, King's Bounty Series, Fantasy Wars/Elven Legacy, Space Rangers... I'm certainly ready for more!
&nb
So I was playing FE and set an army to move. I clicked end turn and the game was 'working' and then crashed with the error message "Out of Memory". I tried reloading the auto-save and received the same problem twice. So I'm playing my first game on hard with all the AIs on hard. I'm also using 1.01, but I haven't played on hard before 1.01. I am noticing the AI's armies will not attack if there are any ranged in the army. Even if its just one or two ranged units. They'll have say 4 juggernauts, a few other melee, and two archers. All the melee and juggs will defend defend defend when they could come storming at me and do a lot of damage. So while they're defending I just pick
Is there somewhere I can view the negative enchantments on my cities? I can, for example, see that my unrest goes up, but I do not see any icon indicating my city has a negative enchantment on it. Also it seems once you have a negative enchantment on a city you can keep casting dispel on it regardless of the enchantment being dispelled. If you wanted to cast dispel on a city 50 times you can, once it has a negative enchantment cast on it while others you can not cast on at all.

It's very linear, but beautifully drawn, and the story, at least for me, is captivating. First, if you haven't tried it yet you can shrink juggernauts to cause them to run away to the edges of the fight the entire battle. So the AI gets them early, so what? I just shrink them all. Maybe it was intended as a joke, these big guys being shrunk and thus running away, but it really hurts the AI to not attack with them. Second, the AI is STILL sending in lone heroes into my territory when i'm at war with them. They're easy pickings. The AI's heroe

Anyone else really not enjoy what are dubbed adventure puzzle games? Solving puzzles to me is just a variation on the Police/Space/King's quest series or something like Leisure Suit Larry. That you have to solve the puzzle in a very specific way the designers intend and the puzzle takes you out of the immersion. Sure some puzzle's may have a few variations, but its very limited and linear. Which is frustrating for me because I've been looking for a game I can be immersed in with g
