Since .85 sometimes my mouse starts to drag a lot slower and rubberbands very slightly. So its very difficult to drag it elsewhere. I'm not sure what causes it, but sometimes loading a saved game repeatedly will not help, sometimes alt-tabbing to the desktop and then back does work. I should have saved the save game, but I forgot or probably had to run off for something. Also sometimes in different games my stack of units after I click on a place for them to move, if they have mov
afaik, the research points you get for trading are a percentage of the points you spent on actual research (10% maybe - not sure). so if you're halfway through the civ tree, you spent maybe 2000 points worth of research, which creates about 200 tradeable civ research points. when you acquire research points from an AI, they are added to the appropriate tree. so if you buy 200 civ research, those points are added to your current civ resear

How does research exchange work in LH? I thought if you traded, say, 20 points of warfare for 20 points of magic, you'd gain magic and lose warfare. But the AI keeps asking to exchange one reseach type for the same research type. So, am I wrong, is research done differently?
I tried to load a saved game three times and each time the game crashed saying that LH had stopped working. the debug file for the third attempt to load: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8971392/debug3rd.err Here are the three crash zip files in order of each crash: https://dl.drop
seconding. And i'd also like a leather armour magic set as well.
Steam updated LH last night and now at the bottom of my starting screen it reads version .80, not .85. Not sure if it read .80 before last night, but i've been allowing LH to automatically update through steam.
For what comes to mind is Crusader Kings II simply because of the depth of the game and the learning curve. Once I figured out how the game worked after watching about an hour and a half of youtube lets play videos I understood it. Then of course I had to learn more as I played the game. Not to mention having to figure out strategies if you start out as a duke instead of a king, or just a one province lord, etc. I haven't played in a year or so, but if I were to go back I know I'd hav
Wanted to comment, since .85 the AI has vastly improved and now is kicking my arse at the hard setting. Good job. :)
I liked how before horses were good for heavily armoured troops and wargs were good for lightly armoured troops. Now horses are useless. Sure you get 1 more movement point, but you get better dodge with the wargs and they give initiative. If encumbrance is out the horses should do something else or be the same exact thing as wargs, just kingdom and empire resources respectively. Or something else, just not as it is now.
I'm also annoyed that road building can only be done by heroes. They have more important things to do! :)
Has anyone noticed that the AI is able to make units regardless of what resources it has? I've been trying to get a good game going with the sparse resource setting, but the AI(on hard) always seems to be able to produce troops, fast, a lot, and with weapons and armour they do not have the resources to make. I realize the difficulty level gives them a slight advantage, but its ruining the game for me since I can't get a game going where everyone has to rely on leather armour and woode
I am confused by this, but it's probably becasue I haven't had much time playing around with the newer builds. Our heroes now can have dual classes? Apparently it was a tribute treaty. Nevermind. :)
It would be good to somehow signify in an easily noticed way which of the two classes a hero has is the one he will be using for his advancement tree. Also from the hero screen or somewhere it would be nice to be able to bring up the advancement tree at any time instead of only when a hero levels.
I'd like to see the Defender's ability "Guard" changed. Currently it wears off right when an affected units turn comes up. I'm finding that any unit I guard with my defender goes before its attacked. thus making the ability basically useless. Maybe change it so the affect does not wear off until the casting unit's(hero's) next turn? Or make it so the affect lasts for 2 turns so that the unit gets to act and be attacked before it wears off.
Would there be any reason I am unable to declare war against an AI opponent besides non-agression treaties or already at war? I would like to declare war on pariden, but its greyed out. We do not have any treaties, though we're both Kingdoms. I do not remember being the same government type restricting declaring war. It certainly hasn't in game.

I have noticed my ice mages dealing less damage against enemies with cold resistance or more against enemies with things like Quendar blood (-50% cold resist), but they seemed to be dealing consistent damage to everything else. I'm pretty sure it's working as intended, though maybe c
If you adjust combat speed it should not also adjust the combat scroll speed. Very irritating to have combat speed at x5 while the scroll is also at that speed. Make shield bash not affect large targets like dragons or the great elementals that guard specific areas of the map.
In particular, that is the advantage to using elemental staffs and such very few things have such resistances.
Well yes, but they seem to do a lot more damage to units with lower level armour than higher. Say you have a bunch of guys in leather and a bunch in plate. The plate will take a lot less damage from an ice staff than the guys in leather, yet they both have 0 ice resist. I've seen this repeated.
No one knows? Bumping
Can someone explain the me the mechanics of something like an ice staff vs regular metal armour in FE:LH? It does ice damage, but against a heavily armoured unit with no ice resist it still does very little damage. Couldn't find the explanation in the games help section.
