Amused. The xcomacadamy link from the firaxis homepage is rather amusing. http://www.xcomacademy.com/ No, no virus or whatever. Just really inane that its a link from firaxis.
Hmmm. Never had that happen. I suggest doing a verify of the game files in Steam. Otherwise it may be some kind of save game corruption. Did you try messing around with the Armor Deco options in the customization screen?
I tried the verification to no avail. Yeah tried the armor deco options too. : / I hope its not a save game corruption, I have a lot of saves and going back to a good one would be too hard to figure out. Ty
Posted this to the xcom forums, but I thought I'd post it here too because users in this forum seem to know their stuff and are actively participating in these forums. Anyway: "When choosing my team before a mission I usually remove all current team members and start with all slots empty. I click 'make items available' and then start choosing my team members. Ever since I created the first level of carapace armor (only <span class="highligh
Thanks everyone for your input.
So I bought Xcom complete during the steam sale. I'm wondering, should I play through Xcom The Unknown first or play with the stand alone add on Enemy Within? Story differences matter? New weapons/enemies in the add-on hard to understand without playing the basic game? Etc. Thanks much.
I had to stop playing because of the game slowing down. Not because of graphics issues, but because AI was taking so long each turn to choose its moves. Unplayable...well unless you want to wait 3 minutes between each turn.
Go vote now!: Warlock II, Dominions 4, and LE:FH are in one block. Well and Civ5, but who cares about that. ;)
Wasteland 2 is on sale for 33% off...early access. So its now down to $40, for early access. Disappointment. : / I believe its going to be 30 bucks when it comes out. I'll buy it then. Alas.

Quoting Island Dog, reply 5 The Steam Wallet can be a good thing. I'll drop $5 or $10 here and there, so it'll add up and I'll use that for a sale. Complete X-com for 16.49. I thought about Day Z, but its an MMO and i really never enjoyed them in the end. The idea is stellar, its just that it involves playing with human beings which exemplify the saying "everyone's an asshole." :) My wish list: Dead State Wasteland 2 Endless Legend Godus Arcane Worlds The Forest Murdered: Soul Suspect DayZ(if it becomes much cheaper than 15% off)
The sale hasn't started yet.
Right, but people have been listing games so I assumed these were games they knew were going to be on sale.
Where did you guys see a list of things on sale? Can't seem to find it via steam or google.
I finally bought this game. It seems great, except I was having a few problems. So I went on over to their forums...and its almost a dead forum. Very few posts and even fewer recent ones. I tried an associated forum, Slitherine, and same thing. I wonder if the game did not sell well or something else. Just surprised the forums are so dead.
yesterday, i went to a small local grocery that has a superb produce area to get some green and red peppers. as i apporach the cashier, i hear the teenaged gal at the register and the slightly older male bagger discussing music. they are debating whether carrie underwood or metallica is better. well, i'm wearing a bob seger hat so i chime in that seger is better than both of those acts in my opinion. the young lady asked me "who is bob s

I've had excellent reliability, great updates, great blocking of attacks, easily removed viruses, etc. with Kaspersky. For spyware I use SpyHunter which seems to catch everything, but not as it's being added. I'm referring to cookies and the like. I'd highly suggest them both, and if just one Kaspersky.
I think it depends on the gamers age. The violence of of a bloody FPS alone might not do it, but repeated play time of it and similar games on a young mind can help to mold their brain which is still forming even as teenagers. I'm not neurologist, shrug. There are reasons why a 5 year old isn't exposed to torture horror movies, same for computer games like the grand theft auto series. I think as adults we are less affected by depictions of violence, however I do think it can still aff
The rules: Find a song on youtube with a word from the previous song's title. Words like a, and, you, but, etc. are not acceptable. Nouns(pronouns too) verbs, adverbs, adjectives, etc. are good. Its better if you use a word like like smashed instead of hit or reclined instead of sat, but not necessary. Please really like the song instead of just some random one you found with the word. OK, so expose us to new music! I'll start.

I don't like ruining someone's life over a stupid mistake that resulted in no serious harm. No...it's a systemic ignorance of consequence. I enjoyed the series. I think Woody Harrelson was also good. His role was acted more subtlety, but just as good. McConaughey just had the more interesting role. I think the series took inspiration specifically from The King in Yellow, not just cthulu and associated mythos. More discussion, but SPOILERS(highlight text to see): I was disappointed they didn't bring more of the mythos of the King in Yellow into it. They
