Are there patch notes still up for .85? I haven't played since .77 or are they the same as the notes listed here for .86: https://forums.elementalgame.com/418253
No mention of increasing the variety of quests available?
Diky za obsirnu odpoved. I already bought it on Steam, dowloading just now. Not very happy with your review, i bought this simply because i quite liked Max Payne and its atmosphere, it was alongside Homeworlds the only game i ever finished. The early comparisons to Twin Peaks were intriguing and huge plus, but i suppose the resemblance starts and ends with the environment, perhaps music. I suspect, eventually i wil
So i'm starting to not want to play SWTOR anymore. The missions are so repetitive. The pvp feels very unepic(not a word I know). And I can never find people to do FPs. And I haven't had sgueuccess in finding a guild that is mature and won't tolerate derogatory language in chat that is of decent size and fairly active. Le sigh.Just venting. Anyone else hitting this wall?
Yeah, Empire and Empire Deluxe. You can still get it here: http://www.killerbeesoftware.com/kbsgames/edee/ Also, Battlefront came out with a remake of sorts (Empires of Steel): http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&a
I believe Steel Empire http://hol.abime.net/2116 It had a D&D flavored sequel Fantasy Empire: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/825/Fantasy+Empires.html
No it wasn't steel empire. It was Just Empire.
That was the one that was heavily influenced by Twin Peaks right? If so I definitely will be buying it.
Anyone remember a game called, I think, Empire from about...24 years ago? Computer game. Take over cities. Build tanks. Fight. Very simple.
I like the imbue mechanic, but not the maintenance cost. In my experience with WoM and FE I end up rarely using enchantments or summons due to their upkeep. All my mana gets cast during battles. I rarely ever had a lot to spare on enchantments. I'd like to see more sources of mana available.
seconding this observation.
1.AI for combat, diplomacy, city building, etc. 2.Loading times for saved games, map generation, etc. 3.City and champion specialization. Tied with more variety of quests.(improvements I would like to see have already been stated above) (and it would be nice to have an option to turn off the use of magic in auto-resolving combat)
I liked the design of Dom3(and 2) except the AI was awful. It was geared more towards multiplayer. If they come out with a demo for it i'll try it, otherwise I'll be passing.
Not sure if its supposed to work this way, but does anyone else have post from seperate sub forums appearing in the general forum subforums? Such as clicking on the general forum link gives you posts from the fe beta support section as well as "general" posts.
So this is very odd. And takes a bit of explaining. I have a stack of units moving about and such. I was moving down along some mountains. Saw some wolves and decided to go the other way before engaging them. So I right click one square. My stack moved to that square, but then moved down towards the wolves without me clicking. So I tried to move away again the following turn clicking on a square and the same thing happened, the stack moved on its own towards the wolves. Sort of like they have
I tried to load a saved game while the game was minimized/alt-tabbed. I do this because it takes a long time to load(my computer is powerful enough that I assume i should not. I can run SWTOR, for example, just fine). FE never loaded the saved game so I closed the program.
To keep the monsters from overrunning you early just turn down the monsstor "difficulty level" before you start the game. Each game can be diffierent.
This is true, however i'm playing the the basic settings so I think its still too much. I want lots of monsters to fight, just not right at the start. So toning down the amount of monsters overall doesn't solve the problem.
I completely agree here. I love the traits, and would like to have them peppered amongst techs. It'd make me feel like I am progressing. Er, not that I don't from other aspects of the game. :)
Problems: Gloves seem to stick through the sleeves of hooded robes. I had a game where my sovereign died in the first 3 turns to a spider. I think this is a bit much, yes? The introduction tells me there is fertile land near by, but it wasn't visually on the map, not could I mouse over a square with a tooltip indicating fertile land. Turning on "show tile yield" only seems to work when using my sovereign before founding a city. Otherwise it doe

Seconding the over abundance of monsters, at least particularly in the beginning.
Same, though I think this might have been intended? Can still move the map by holding the left button down and dragging the mouse.
