Its a bit better with "Win Capture." I am also trying to narrate as I go instead of trying to narrate afterwards I tried using my speakers to get game audio into the recording, but I think I'll ditch the musi

Juggers gave me trouble, but Shrink for some reason takes away their full attack (not just a penalty like most Shrink targets) and Slow. I also tend to have dragons by that point, and dragons trounce juggernauts.
That software combination didn't work, and I flubbed the narrative in a couple places. I've found software that records video much better than the CamStudio I was using, but it still doesn't record game audio, unfortunately. I am trying to record audio while I play as well for a bit more smoothness, but I am making a lot of errors which are frustrating, but I am hoping I can re-record audio over my flubs
I'm trying to find better software to record Elemental: Fallen Enchantress sessions to make video tutorials and guides (my first attempt was utterly atrocious). I googled and found 'GameCam,' but trying to launch EFE with GameCam running generated the following crash error: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: FallenEnchantress.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 5084b255<br
I'm trying to create video tutorials for Elemental: Fallen Enchantress, but am an absolute beginner. My first attempt is ... well ... pathetic. For some reason, the video produced is all of maybe one frame per second, very choppy and quite low resolution despite specifying a 1024x768. I used Camstudio to try to record E:FE (running E:FE in a 1024x768 window), then tried to edit the video in Windows Movie Maker. I tried using WMM's snapshot to basically
Still no review there. Kevin VanOrd reviewed World of Magic at 4.5 out of 10 ... I'm very curious to see what he says about Fallen Enchantress. His most recent review at Gamespot was posted October 9, an 8.5 out of 10 score for XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
THings get even more bizarre when you have a skill or spell that can convert an enemy, such as 'Tame' which comes with the Beastlord profession and enables your sovereign to convert beasts such as wolves and spiders. If your sov's army is maxed out and you convert beast(s), each beast will get its own army -- no big whoop -- but they then appear at the location where they were when you attacked them (or they attacked you). This has a potentially big oddball effect if t
The only one I know for certain is buggy is that it does not take "Fear" status on the attacker or "Fear Cloak" on the defender into consideration. Sometimes luck rolls. 75% chance to hit is not as high as most folk think ... getting 3 or 4 misses in a row with a 75% chance to hit is not unheard of. There is no guarantee that every 3 out of every 4 attacks will land successfully.
Yeah, its proven ludicrous to have it on.
The program I used to use to put together animated .GIFs, JASC's Animation Shop, no longer works on current versions of Windows unfortunately. :(
WoM is still being sold. Stardock has stuck by their products in the past, even the older vanilla version of a game after an expansion has released (such as Galactic Civilizations II and Sins of a Solar Empire, both had patches to older iterations after newer expansions came out IIRC)
If you don't have Master Scouts or a Compass, I find you tend to use up however many movement points attempting to attack an adjacent tile in Strategic view that moving to that square would -- if its hills or forest, it consumes 2 movement points. If you have a trait or equipment that should eliminate the movement penalty for moving through forests/hills/etc., that probably is a bug.
I enjoy pixelart ... one of the few things I found I can actually do, but I never stuck with it, unfortunately.
2am I need to stop playing ... I have work at 6 ...
My sovereign just fell because of a mis-clicked spell because it was 2 a.m. :/ That could be just a story, but I was writing a tutorial while playing, and could not help but make mention the 2 a.m. factor in the nearly disastrous result! lol.
Now for the next segment ... As I was moving Hannis back toward New Pariden to acquire Divula's armor, the Logging camp completed in the forest south of New Pariden, which caused the border to expand to encompass the Bear Cub. This caused the bear cub to w
As can be seen off, the lower margin of the Battle Details is oddly cut off well above the bottom of the scroll window. A single tip up the scrollbar scrolls the text down, as can be seen, but the bottom line vanishes to a mask a good 4 or 5 text rows tall at the bottom of the scroll window for some rea
Just curious. I seem to recall Galactic Civilizations II vanilla getting patches even after Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor. I know it will never be a Fallen Enchantress, but wonder if, after the momentum of patches for Fallen Enchantress wanes in a couple months or so, if WoM might get some touch-up attention.
Would be great if you at least had to right click on a champion to talk to them, instead of them auto-joining you merely because you end your turn with your Sov stack on an adjacent tile -- especially when it has consequences of subsequent champions refusing to join you.
They give the AI fits when I attack them with Panthers I've Tamed. :P I have yet to see any unit that has more movement points, and well levelled, their attacks can be outright dangerous. They're perfect, in my army from being tamed, for going after enemy archers ... there is simply nowhere to run, lol.
Was this in Sandbox or the Campaign? Its already been reported for the Campaign (any units past 8 not appearing in combat at all, and getting marked as being killed at the end of combat) and I think it was mentioned it has been fixed on an internal build. I didn't think it was also in Sandbox ... in which case its even worse!
To put the score into context, the site and same reviewer rated Civilization V: Gods & Kings just a quarter-point higher at 8.5, and Warlock: Master of the Arcane one and a half points lower at 6.75. Very respectable score indeed!
A game takes hours. Youtube limits me to 10 minute videos. I am considering eventually doing one with Youtube, but will try writing one out first.
Anyone know where the Scrying Pool (+1 Essence) tech went too? Doesn't seem to be Delacon or Enchanters. On that note, what ways are there to increase a city's essence without using my cheese pools?
Its listed as a "Unique Improvement" when picking Pariden for a custom faction on the lower right. I don't see it listed, though, as coming from Amarian blood, Decalon nor Enchanters. :/
Are you insured against your private builds causing players to transform into frogs?
Not really. One could consider the Death Star in Star Wars (for 'serious' science fiction fans, its more fantasy than science fiction) to be a 'Great Wonder' (if evil), but it took more than a decade to build the first one. Even in fantasy settings with magic, things don't happen overnight. Armies of darkness may suddenly attack out of seemingly nowhere and do BadThings(tm) where none were thought to be, but often there's a story that they've se
