I have captured a town belonging to a minor nation and can now hire ogres, yay :) Problem is that this city does not expand its influence at all. Feature or bug? I have two resources just outside the influence range, but it never expands. My suggestions: 1. Minor nations should expand, only slower than other major races 2. When such a city is captured it should work as a normal city

My first crash with 1.06 unfortunately. I was really enjoying this game as Umber. See link to debug.err. Couldnt find the zipfiles created during beta crashes.
The bad thing here is that I see nothing in the game that stops infinite city spamming :(
This might be the longest and best forum post I have ever read.... that says a bit for a 38 year old forum addict
I play Umber (random chocie at start that I just stick with) and for them (with my playstyle) money is everything. I get darkling camps (and later some dogs) that mainly cost money. No need to design any soldiers then.
This is pretty similar to my thoughts and experiences on this game. Keep on working Stardock and you have a classic.
The temple of essence says +25% essence but only gives like 1.25% (went from 17.6 to 17.8 for me)
Good post there!
Kings Bounty Armoured Princess has the best turn based battles I have ever played. That game is pure CLASS. Elemental is waaay behind in that department Still I trust that Elemental will evolve and become a better game in the years to come. I am enjoying it sofar, but the potential for improvement is collossal.
Start building your army man :P
The frog has explained this several times. They had two slots to choose from: August 2010 and Feb 2011. They went for August. I must say that the game is a couple of patches from greatness, but its still a good game that will only get better.
Your file says turn 394 before the crash. How do you do that when you can only play a little at the time? Have you tried to start a new game after the last update? I can see that you have latest update, but I think starting a new game is more stable than continuing on an old one.
Anyone remember the CIV IV issues on launch? Huge problems with certain graphics cards. Turned out to be the best game ever made in my opinion. Noone (except me) seems to remember that now :)
The games needs some more UI love, but I like the way this is going :)
Thanks for that update :)
My initial impressions are here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/392545 I say buy and play :)
I am having issues with performance (its mainly my fault for having an old laptop), but I have played around a bit and this is my first take of the game. Pros: It gives me vibes of old. I remember playing strategy games as a young boy/man and just learning a game by trying. This is frustrating and very cool at the same time :) The game is far from streamlined and I like it. I love surprises. Sion temple giving me new units. ME LIKE <p
No - but the problem seems to be fixed by latest patches. Sorry for late answer
During the game one collects lots of NPC`s with small bonuses. Why cant we put these to work. Let the +1 Gildar NPC work at a money related building (gold mine, market or something) for an extra bonus. Same with the others. One building should be able to hold one NPC of "the same output". This way I would actually be looking for certain bonuses (due to the buildings I have) and not just hireing whatever I meet. To balance this of one could make NPC`s sligthly more expensive to get. &n
If you dont have enough gildar to hire someone you just cannot talk to them it seems. I was following a chapion lady around for a bit trying every round. Finally I got the gold and could hire her. She should tell me to my face that I need 79 gildars to hire her. Would save a lot of grief
Minor cities can't levelup. We're either going to make that clearer in-game or remove the limitation.
one vote for REMOVE here!!
Minor races do not expand. They exist purely as guardians of the critter resources.
Would be much more fun it they expanded, only slower than normal nations. It doesnt make the world seem alive if someone just lives there and the rest of the world changes without them.
Right click the game in impulse and choose View History or just go to the Elemental Dev Journals in this forum. Look for PRE-0-day patch
good question there
There will be a 0 day patch soon (today or tomorrow). Hope this will help you :)
