People just skim text and dont read pre-0-day only 0day patch. Its all over this forum. Next time they should call it minipatch or something not related to 0 day

@dawgs4ever - have you actually read frogs post about the 0 day patch??? There is much ado about performance and such

Giving up before the day 0 patch is pretty premature isnt it?? The 0 day patch isnt here yet. It was a smal interim patch yesterday.

There is a setting saying what "size" a battle needs to be to go tactical. Check your option settings. I dont have the possibility to check for you right now, but I am pretty sure its there.

Be a bit adventurous ppl. Try and discover :) Its like gaming in the old days. To be a bit more serious, there is a lack of documentation. Still one should remember that the "real" game hasnt been released yet. After day 0 patch its time to document. Meanwhile I got my questions answered in the irc channel #Elemental in Impulse. Lots of helpful people there!!!

I had problems in beta to. Helped when I changed to windowed mode.

Does this mean that if I dont visit nearby locations until I level up, then the stuff I find will be better in these locations.

Day 0 is NO fun when the game doesnt play. Spending it in the support forum is not fun. On the other side, I must say that there are relatively few but reports there, so the release doesnt seem to be broken or anything. Still I assume that Stardock is racking up quite a list of things to consider and fix for the next days. At least I hope so, since I cannot play.

I really cleaned up - I had beta that I uninstalled, and then manually cleaned up under my documents. Didnt clean registry by the way.

I have played all games from I to V and they are mostly great :) Since RUSE from UBI will be Steamworks and not the always online thingie, there is a little hope yet. UBI says that most of their games will be always online, but there is yet a little hope. Remember Starforce? Heroes V was supposed to come with that horrible thing. It got ditched pretty close to release.

If its always online I am out. If not I am sold :)

@clockwerk Their bottom line will suffer if I buy another game instead of the one they are selling. The problem is that it is impossible to really know how a game would have sold without the bonus. Since everybody else is doing it, nobody (of the large games anyways) dare sell without it seems.

Bonuses are lame. Everyone who pays full price later and doesnt get them, will feel cheated. Not a great way to treat gamers.

Yes, you are missing something. Its a beta version. There is no real AI and therefore you cannot expect an actionfilled quality game.

Why does Blizzard do this? To secure better/faster connections, to save money or what?

Imagine a strategy game based on this consept. A game where you would have to allocate resources to different locations to fend of attacks. Like the Total War series only with tower defense instead of the RTS battles :) Could add stuff like research to the main map. Anyways. I will buy anything based on Defense Grid. DLC, expansion or Defense Grid 2. Its great!
