I am serious. If you have a suggestion of a better game feel free to offer your insight :)

I think CIV IV is the best strategy game ever. I am a bit on the fence with CIV V due to Steam requirement. I will probably await a while and see the feedback before I decide. I have preordred Kings Bounty Crossworlds and bought the THQ bundle, so there is no rush. Must say that I am having some fun with Elemental too, though its weaknesses are apparent.
I preordered on Gamersgate. This is a game series with real quality. Top class in my book. [e digicons]:troll:[/e]
Stardock. You have the foundation of a great game here. Keep on working and it will be great! There are lots of good ideas among the problems that the game have. I love the fact that the world gets more dangerous based on research. I love the fact that every unit get level increases with experience. I love the possibility of getting a unit on level up (though it should be stronger than currently offered) ++ Stay on these roads. Do not stray :)
Regarding these minor nations. If they are there to add flavor, dont fence them in. :) The one thing that I have always missed in CIV IV the for the barbarians to actually create a real empire if they are left alone long enough. I would love it if a minor nation would one day win a game that I am playing. What I would like is an option before the game is started that says the following: Minor nations: 1. Dont expand (as is now) 2. Maximize start city (dont expa
The crashes and bugs are being removed pretty fast. Still the AI is lacking and lots of stuff are there to be improved. I like the game, but I guess if you are in no rush then wait for feedback from version 1.1 due in September.
I think the review is fair. He lets us know the problems, but also the potential. I like the game, but as he said the AI is a total pushover and lots of stuff isnt balanced at all.
I think there is a known bug where some monsters gets incredibly powerful. Anyways this should be moved to the support forum when Stardock wakes up :)
I bought THQ Ultimate bundle. Very cheap and it has SupCom Forged Alliance that I was gonna get anyways
#2 If you take a minor nation settlement it will not expand. Even if you take it from another Empire, this Empire probably got the settlement from a minor nation. I think its a bug... I once captured a minor nation which had two resources just outside its influence limit (which is small), but it NEVER expanded :(
As woca said. 1. Install impulse 2. Patch game 3. Uninstall impulse 4. Game will still run Problem is that you will have to do this on every patch. My advice would be to install Impulse and only run it when you want a patch.
This is a known bug, reported many times. Should be fixed next patch :)
I'm a little perturbed by the wording of #1 here: "Late game Slowdown!!!!" For most of us here, the slowdown isn't only during the late game --- it's from turn 1 (as soon as a city is built). Hovering over cities is where the majority of the FPS is lost and that's early (and mid) game as well.
They have already stated that their internal version has a fix that will give you lots better fps/
I wonder if there will be more small patches with easy to fix bugs or if we have to wait for the big 1.1?
I dont get the people here claiming that CIV IV is worse than the previous games. CIV III towards endgame became more and more boring with micromanagement and very slow performance. The maintenance/corruption model was hopless too. CIV IV AI was pretty good after a while in my opinion. CIV IV is the game I have played the most and that says something for a 38 year old gamer :)
Dragon Age bundle and Gratious Space Battles at reduced prices too :)
Disciples III are at about half price
GOOD LUCK RAVENX and THE REST [e digicons]:troll:[/e]
Ways to avoid city spamming: 1. More expensive pioneers 2. Some sort of maintenance cost based on number of cities 3. More reward for having large cities through getting access to buildings, units or other stuff 4. More aggressive monsters that will demand more defense per city. This would help a LOT in my opinion. As it is now, normal monsters dont go much for cities. Especially bandits or other humanoids should have ambitions. Would be WAY cool
I want tasks like in CIV IV. Build me 5 darklings and I will transfer them into a demon lord my sire. Capture that metal resource and you will be rewarded with 5 swordmen and so on.
There is nothing in the game limiting city spamming at all. Actually there is very little reason for having large cities. You get to build a few more buildings and get the level up bonuses, but thats it. A huge megacity doesnt make more in taxes, doesnt automatically have more prestige, doesnt produce better/faster units. All you need is a large city to build The Mint and some other buildings you get later in the game. You can only build one of each so no point in making a few strong cities f
Kings Bounty Armoured Princess - pure class :)
Its the archers mind you. I said they were overpowered [e digicons][/e]
Good stuff ppl
I must say that I have no idea how to check that. Where can I see my occupied/free enchantment slots? I had enchantments, so it very well could be the case. Did you fix internally? Pretty please with sugar on top :)
