The tutorial does not get more love until the game is almost finished. Go straight to the New Game button and jump in :)

[quote who="sweatyboatman" reply="14" id="3163795"]As it stands, in my current game I have about a dozen shard summons that clog up my units UI (as they slowly make their way across the map) that I mainly use as dispensable meat shields. I Instead of multiple shards providing multiple weak summons, they should make the summons stronger: providing them new abilities and stat bonuses. It would be way cooler to have that fourth death shard make my demon unit into an unstop
I am buying if it isnt a total fail. I love strategy (CIV (not the last one), Fallen Enchantress, Kings Bounty, Heroes (not the last one)++)
The death shard demon gets strong VERY fast and is a game winner. I have 6 in my current game with 372 hitpoints EACH. I dont care if they have low defense, they rock :d The trick is to attack bandits/mites and weak stuff to get them to multiply. Once you get them split to 4 they are strong enough to take on more stuff. Try this and they will surprise you and win the game for you easily.
@Kongdej. I play medium maps, and I normally put down 2-3 cities quite fast. After that its often a while of building and levelling armies before the first war (in which I take 1-2 cities). I see some outpost spamming, but not enough to make me a sad puppy
I love the startup phase the most. That is one of the reasons that I would easily restart a game if its getting boring :)
Oh, you are talking about the infidels :d I just beat them with a stick.
I dont have a bucket of indignation, morale and such that goes full if I use it too much. I dont like always online drm, and therefore dont buy such games. That does not mean that I think its a matter of life and death and a huge moral issue.
I just saw a documentary about the differences of kindergartens in Norway, England and Australia. It was hilarious (for a Norwegian at least). The focus on safety in England and Australia meant that the playgrounds was a flat and padded world where you could not possibly climb, fall or get injured. In England they did not even send extra outdoor clothes with their kids in the winter. The result of this was extremely boring and unchallenging kindergartens. A British expert said t
The moral is that you need to research the "food-techs" on a regular basis to have your empire grow. Try to be proactive and research before it all stops :d
This is actually not a problem. It means that you are building your empire, while the AI is getting units. If you are levelling your sovereign, a champ or two and possibly a unit or two (spearmen, shadow warg or something), then you are fine. When the first war comes (as the AI believe that the score advantage means a win), then you use your levelled army to take a city or two from him with little problem. Then you have about four cities and can produce more units. Your empire strength will r
The tutorial I would skip if I were you. It does not get a lot of love as the game is in development. Just start up a game and try stuff out. As questions on the forums as you go. Good luck. The game is amazing!
You have the perfect username for finding such errors :)
[quote who="Kalin" reply="15" id="3163462"]The problem with perma death for henchmen is that in the player's hands, they will probably never lose the henchmens in the first place because the player knows how to protect and raise them when they are weak. Even if by some off chance that it does happen, they would just reload, not because it costs 50 influence, but because of the effort used to raise that henchmen. On the other hand, the AI is totally incapable of raising units without getti
Live and learn. Thanks :d
Food does not affect growth, but it limits the max population. If you have two cities and 6 prestige they will grow with 3 population each. If one has hit maximum population then one city grows with 3 (still) and the other will grow nothing until you get more food.
To each his own. I dont buy stuff with always online for single player, but I know that I do not determine what others choose.
4/3 is normal for me, but 4/2 is not that unusual (best tile within visual range at start). Its like its always been for me (I never reload at start, but take what I get)
In my current game I am mopping up with my death spell and around 6 demon units that has about 372 hitpoints each. I dont mind low defense when a unit has 372 hitpoints :d The demons are so strong that I need only a couple in each army and can have several super armies at once.
The death shard demon is formidable, but the others are forgettable. This combined with the super death spell of Dirge(sp?), almost force you to follow the same tactic all the time. Get shards, corrupt, level demon and win easily.
The demons of the death shard get 400 hitpoints midgame.
Resoln is all about the death shard demons (they rock), forget the spiders. Combined with the death magic of their sov, its pretty unstoppable (as long as you play against an AI at least).
Thats how to report. Good work sir
@Das123 - A Lets Play 0.915 would be much appreciated ;)
It will probably be a while until we see the next changelog. Beta 4 is next and thats at least a month away. We can only hope for a bugfix patch meanwhile. A changelog in two weeks with 20-30 bugfixes would really make my day ;)
