I have tried the veteran trait in 913 and 914 and it doesnt really seem to give my units an extra level. Am I misunderstanding something?

I have two questions of my own What happens if you go into negative population (Magnar slaving or other reason). Does growth just stop? Is there a negative growth until balance is restored, or are the population just removed?? If you have 4 prestige and two cities, they should get 2 growth each. If one have no more food/growth. Will the growth be 2-0 or will the two move so that its 4-0? I suspect 2-0

I have hat very little problems with the Knights of Asok, but ofcourse that is due to random luck. I am not sure how strong they are and how long it takes to be able to handle them.

I run out of metal (or crystal if I go that way with my units) all the time. I takes 50 metal pr unit produced in my current game. Its probably due to playstyle. I actually produce stuff, while some might win the game with champs/sov and few produced units.

And I forgot a VITAL design thing. Give your units charge. That means your units will be able to reach the enemy in the first turn (usually) and very often get the first hit. I also give my units the +1 Attack and +15 strength.

Sorry, I didnt notice that this was in WOM Support, and not in FE. I have no idea if this works in WOM, and I cannot think of a single reason to ever install WOM. The beta of Fallen Enchantress is 10 times better than WOM with all patches.

This doesnt help much. You should post links /send crash files to Stardock. Then they can actually find your problem and see what to do about it. Let me guess: You have win xp? Seems to me that the ppl with problems usually are the ones with win xp. I know that Stardock is aware of this, as they have posted about it before. About your other points (monsters and heroes). You really think that the monsters are too tame? I think they are ok. I could agree to

The strategy is not spreading cities like wildfire and hope for luck with monsters, in my opinion. I do as follows (challenging, dense monsters): 1. Recruit nearby champ 2. Clear out area nearby starting city to avoid local resoruces being attacked 3. Find a place for your second city so that its influence will not overtake any huge monster lair. Keep focus on clearing out as much as possible. 4. By now someone big will often declare war on you. G

I dropped Skyrim for FE quite a while ago, and I am still playing FE. The only thing that could give me a break would be Kings Bounty: Warriors of the North, but its not arriving for a while it seems.

Umber We have always been here. The Umber has never played an important role in the world, there are no written history, it is as we never where. Until now. The people of Umber were never slaves, the empire never wanted us in their homes or in their places of craft. Yet, we were always there. Living under the bridges, in the darkest spots in the castles, in the woods outside the largest cities. We were the crows of society. If you threw out your leftover food and grabage in th

The game is far from extremely difficult. If you clear out the area around your starting city and start a new city that is not next to a huge monster, then you should be fine. I play challenging and dense monsters and I am having a blast. I am not a "hard core" gamer and I NEVER reload a lost battle. The third and fourth city you get from the first AI that will declare war on you ;)

* AI never waits for me to come to them Not true. I have seen armies stand off (especially when it has many units and quite a few ranged ones).

* AI doesn't target the right units The AI is pretty consistent in the fact that it targets the wounded units and kill them off. That is at least a good thing (for the AI, not for you :) )

AI is a gets its heroes killed way too often The frog said that there was a bug that the AI treated the monster lairs like goodiehuts and got repeatedly killed by the same monsters. Should be fixed in .915 and it should make the life of the AI a lot easier

Since I am a fanboi (in the sense that I like FE), I will not say too much. Still, you should try the game a few times, and notice that there are TONS of improvements. FE is actually a game, while the original game was just plain nothingness. I play with dense monsters on challenging and its great fun. Increase the difficulty level of your game and start to enjoy. Remember that the AI isnt finished by a long shot.
