The death shard demons of Resoln are fantastic I like that all units level I like fighting the wild (just wish monsters were a tad more aggressive) I like the Umber (hulk :( ) I like the fact that you can be competitive even if you dont spam cities from the start. In games like CIV the cities are your engine for everything (research, production, war++). In FE your armies can be fantastic even if you are behind in many other ways.

We won't have another update for quite a while longer.
I know that they are working on Beta 4 and it takes a while, but a bugpatch is really needed.
Altar Henchemen, Resoln death demons I think are comparable in that they both need a great deal of nurturing to get them OP. I'd say that the henchman probably have the upperhand here, due to being able to raise damage output, and defense. 500hp of squishy with a fist won't end up beating a tank or warrior henchman with upped deg, and a sword that belongs in a JRPG
Resoln demons need

@Imper1um, Thanks And now for the questions: 1. Will there be a demo? 2. Is there a sandbox mode (I loathe campaigns) 3. Any more info on gameplay is much appreciated (videos, screenshots and such). Yes I have looked at their website, but I want more :) 4. Will English and Russian release be at the same time? Good luck with the game folks!
In any other 4X game I would say pioneer spam is the point of the game. Expansion at all costs. But Act I of FE is supposed to prevent expansion until the war against the world is won. The game has shifted towards monsters being designed to allow outposts and cities to exist near them. I think that is a bad design choice. I would hazard a guess that this was done to bypass some problems with monster AI. I implore the devs to take another look at the

I tried Veteran ability, but got no extra level when I produced the units. There are quite a few bugs for them to hunt. Since they are working on a full new beta version that will take a month (at least), I hope that we get a bug patch in a week or two. A patchlog with 20-30 bugfixes would make me a happy puppy :d

@OrionM42 - If you dont like to fail, turn down the difficulty. I like to fail, and I play on higher difficulties. Dont ask the dev for great starts for all :) Some want to suffer and only taste sweet victory occasionally.

Master of Orion IV - that would be the one comeback that could trumph World of Magic -> Fallen Enchantress.

I made an Umber sovereign, and in my last two games I have met him as an AI player and we are friends. Still, Umber gets no special love (like the shard demons, slave units and such).
I NEVER use the governor path: in my last games I had a lot of problem finding champs and i will never sit them in a city doing nothing. (they ara a too rare resource to be wasted to govern a city, when you need generals)
If you are in a position that you have gotten 4-5 cities with slow growth, then path of the govenor can be an ok choice for a non important hero. You dont have to put him in a city to get the +1 prestige.<

If the cost is low and the building time is low, then there is no decision. Just build these buildings everywhere. At least there need to be a cost that is high enough to make you think.

A building in a single turn is not fun, as there is no opportunity cost then. Everything should at least cost a few turns.

They have said that the way outposts/cities work will be changed in Beta4. Lets hope they come up with something that makes outposts more difficult to set up, but also more defendable.

Since you are in a game with Resoln, I would like to add one comment. The dirge (sp?) death spell of Resoln does NOT work on golems. That can really save your day (if the AI used that spell, lets assume that the Frog will make it so). When I play as Resoln I have the demons from death shards (372 hitpoints EACH) and I use the death spell. All perish but the golems. Then I have to curse the golems and kill them with my demons. It might not be that important, but it does add a t

This game, Kings Bounty: Warriors of the North and Fallen Enchantress, it might be a good year for strategy gaming after all. PC gaming is dead, long live PC gaming.
