Lower and raise land is in the game.

About the monsters. Froggie had some issues with fog of war and monsters (the monsters used the human players fow, and not the AI fow), and this is probably the reason that the monsters dont do much against the AI (yet). I saw hoarder spiders take out an outpost of my enemy yesterday, the round before I was gonna take it out myself. It happens, but not that often.
I play challenging and dense monsters on medium maps. The monsters lasts for quite a while. The monsters would last even longer if they grew in strength from killing other wandering monsters.
It would be great if there were a couple of monsters who had a special badass personality. Basically they would protect their lair and nearby area against player armies and wandering monsters. This would mean that these monsters could level and become really tough late game, if not dealt with earlier. It would be great if there were some visual indication to show what land the monster claimed as its own, so that players would not wander into it without knowing. It would be a bit
I do believe that monsters level if you attack them and fail (if they get enought exp for a new level). Not sure though, as I dont attack anything that I cannot kill. Has anyone tested this?
I believe that FE will be digital distribution only. So no box for you I am afraid. Its just too much hassle for little money (so says the frog).
Nice article. Not hiding the problems of the past, but also showing the good stuff to come!
FE is a sandbox game. Progressive unlocks (and Achievements) are not in any way making the game more fun (for me). I would like as many options as possible to set up the game, but no limits. I would like sliders for overall difficulty, monster denseness, monster aggressiveness, monster strenght, how much CPU time the AI should get+++
What can FE learn??? 1. Force the player to always be online. Dont call it DRM, its for the users benefit 2. IF you cant find any good loot just buy it in the shop. Instant win. GO FOR IT FROGGIE
The current beta of FE is 10 times what E:wom is. I play this beta for FUN, it made me stop playing Skyrim.
I find this forum to be one of the more civilized I have ever frequented. I only get bothersome when they take my race away (Umber)
Lots of helpful ppl here. I will look into them. Maybe find audio book versions. Love to listen to audio books while driving and training.
These AI fixes should really improve the AI players quite a bit. More pain to the Humand :d
Title says it all. Are there any other fantasy series of the same quality?
Derek, you forgot one +Added Umber back and will give it some love and specialization later
I dont see this need for restart at the beginning due to starting position. There is usually a 4/3 spot and worst case 4/2. Both will work.
Diablo III always online. It really is the devils work. Wish we all boycotted and got a changelog for FE to read instead.
I have the same on my fathers laptop. Win7 64 bit.
I am ready for the Umber patch [e digicons]:([/e]
I won a game on challenging with dense monsters, playing with an Umber sovereign (GET THEM BACK ON THE RACE LIST STARDOCK) a couple of days ago. Gilden was far beyond me in score for a while, but as I could take out his army one by one with my toughest stack I won with ease. If he had focus on better troops and larger armies, I would be toast. Yesterday I started a game as resolin and the first race/sov I met, was my custom made Umber Sovereign. That was fun. He and me are gonna
When you talk about 5+ cities, you are quite far into the game. When the monster AI and empire AI is more mature, you will not be able to just roll over the AI as you can now. It seems to me that what you really worry about is the fact that you can get many cities by stomping the AI. The solution is not to punish the big empire, but to make the AI able to defend itself and punish you for the over expansion. At this point the AI often just stick to armies with 3-4 units w
@Tuidjy. This sounds a lot like CIV III and it would work out as micromanagement hell. @sinusgamma. Using prestige to limit could work, but I would rather that this was solved in other ways that is more direct. Roaming monsters should be a problem for setteling too much too fast. Other empires should take this as a negative thing and be more prone to join up on you if you overexpand. Since we already have limited number of places to settle, I dont think we need any CIV I
To me it seems like the monsters are awaken by someone capturing a city, but not when originally founding the city. So you or the AI can plop a city next to a drake, but if its taken then the drake will come "alive" and attack.
Always online for single player... I wish we could all boycott and kill this beast.
Me fail in English? That`s unpossible :)
