I use a stick. I recommend the Qanba/Eightarc if you're a competitive player, because they're dual modded by default- and different tournies use different consoles. If you're just sticking to online play at home- the Mad Catz TE sticks are best. For pads- I recommend Hori Fighting Commander for PS3, and getting another console if you're on 360 because they don't have good pads period. Who here hits tournies/competit

Uninstall Norton- it's worse malware then most viruses.
Atom Zombie Smasher and Cave Story. Most of what I wanted I already had. Steam Sales just don't mean that much to me anymore.
The only downside to this is that sometimes you get disappointed when the game is released- I kinda felt that way about Twilight, I played it more pre-release than post-release, though I still easily got my money's worth. I think it's just more fun when you get things one at a time gradually instead of all at once- provided you know the content isn't being held back. There's a reason the thing I often want most on the pre-release patches are
Aoi is my backup character for that reason.
Looks really good/improved- hopefully we get this on time to play around with it in mid- August. I hope Drox holds me until then (and it's a big reason why I haven't even spent $10 on the Steam sale this year) It's funny how I've spent more time this year enjoying pre-released games than actual finished games.
Ironically, there are ships in FE. You just can't build them yourself. But I say too much.
When you do your next expansion to FE (the 2nd expansion is still planned right?) Ships are one of my top requests. Fantasy worlds need navies.
I play it on PSN: ArchdukeAlstein Look up VFDC, it's the SRK for VF, and a nice community. It's my favorite fighter, though I am looking forward to Persona as well (even with the region-lock mess potentially screwing Euros over hard, but I'm not a Euro) . I'm one of those rare Jeff users.
Time Warner is horrible also, especially in areas where they have no competition.
Broadband may be one of those industries where the government might run things more efficiently and beneficially than private enterprise. Are there any GOOD broadband companies anymore, or just varying degrees of bad?
Is this likely to release before Thanksgiving?
Derek's Beta 4 post covers this best. But essentially, improvements now replace each other. So you won't see a study + school + library + university + whatever. Instead, you upgrade your research building into a better one and that replace it. In doing so, a player, at a glance, can just look at a city and tell how good that city is in research or money making or production or what have you. A city that would ha
I'm more concerned about this: will units actually look like they're in the space they're in. That's been a HUGE problem for the engine so far (dates back to WOM) , and it's very annoying. If this is the reason that fix has been held off, great, but now that you'd done this, if I see this in future betas I'm going to complain a lot more loudly about this problem (and others have had this complaint as well, it's one of the bigger kno
I did give Object Desktop a chance because of the half off sale, and there are a couple of things I will wait to buy on sale that aren't game-related,.
Stardock, as a general rule, don't put their stuff on sale much.
Unlike most people I'm highly skeptical. At first because this is a huge change late in the game design process, I hope that it pushes the estimated release date back by quite a bit. Moreover some of this sounds like it is making city spamming more attractive again, didn't we have lots of changes in order to prevent this? I liked population controlling so much because then it was fluent... now it's like "new city l
Mouse positioning may be a game bug (I see it in Windows occasionally), not a Linux bug. The launching issues may also be an issue that applies to the beta, and not to the actual release as well.
I also put FE aside until Beta 4. Knowing new toys are coming is a big turn-off untll they come. Been playing a ton of VF5; Final Shodown and Drox Operative lately, and finished Ys Origin last night.
Quoting Alstein, reply 22I'm concerned that this might be such a disaster that the PC gaming market gets split as folks go to Macs or a new OS. What would Stardock do in such a situation, given their past history? Oh I don't think Stardock will have too much to worry about, nor the gaming/skinning communities, for that matter. Hardcore, skinners and customisers will always hang on to their earlier copies of Windows t
About the only way I'd consider Windows 8 in the future is if someone like say, Stardock , created a program that made Metro disappear. I'm concerned that this might be such a disaster that the PC gaming market gets split as folks go to Macs or a new OS. What would Stardock do in such a situation, given their past history?
Dirge just needs an additional turn of casting time. I think that would balance it out. Ceresa is pretty much the walking nuke glass cannon faction. One way to balance corruption is to buff the shard summons for elemental shards based on # of shards, but not for death shards.
Warlock at least does some things right- I don't think it's a great game like Brad does, but it's decent and worth $10. Hearing the AI wasn't really improved enough to make this worth a purchase, and with FE being the better running and better playing game already, I'm going to pass on Civ V.
Quoting Alstein, reply 51The thing is, Stardock over the years, has really gained a customer base (at least on the gaming side) that is very anti-corporate, so it's not surprising ill-placed banner ads triggered this reaction. Lacking in any form of legitimate validation....not if you look at how horridly vocal and upset people are...all few dozen responses vs a customer base of 4.7 million. How about..."I am not
I'm just going to adblock them- and it's not going to be a big deal. I have no responsibility as a consumer/customer to look at advertising.
Brad said they are going to make other games using the Elemental engine... including an RPG. I am voting on that. I doubt anyone wants to work on 4x games for their whole life.
Looking at Jon's design post that mentioned the new game- it sounds like it's a strat game not an RPG- which is what I assumed Jon was working on. It could be Society or another new IP , but I suspect it's
