Wonder what people think about the Stamina system? So far it doesn't seem very fun to me, though it might have been necessary to keep initiative from being the end-all decider. I do like the AI improvements and bugfixes, though they have made the game a lot more brutal than it was before.

Same as reasons listed above. Example of how wretched this system is: I've seen people in the original SF4 pay other people to unlock characters for them because it was so boring.
Unlocks are a terrible idea.
How about an Orator administrator that gives 2 hope in a town? Sidenote: logistics administrators don't work at the moment.
What also might spice things up is perhaps more unique units per class. Right now it pales in comparison to say, Age of Wonders 3 classes. I know that's a different direction, but I think wider sovereign trees and faster sovereign levels might help. This might be too costly/ambitious to do right now, and would be something for the inevitable sequel in 2020
GalCiv3 has MP support. Stardock is developing framework for MP for future releases as well.
I'll say this- I am glad that you're doing stuff, and SK is a game where this is absolutely necessary. However, not fixing ancient bugs has been a huge problem with the Elemental series throughout the years. This is something that I feel has been underprioritized. I know this isn't Brad's job, and I don't expect Brad to work on that. That said, it's not being worked on enough for some reason. <
there needs to be more magic weapon options besides magic swords. It's funny how you can use the bow skills with a magic sword as well. Being able to gain a 2nd champion more easily might be useful as well.
Some comments: Pacing seems improved. Game is more enjoyable now due to this. Army management screen like what LH has - this is something that should be implemented. Right now to get a unit out of your stack you need to move it out. There is a need for more variety in craftable weapons. Such as magical bows for the ranger. I'd like to see the return of some of the cheesier L
Congress isn't making the decision on this- all they can do is pass a ball banning the FCC from making this decision , then the president vetoes it. Dems could filibuster it in the Senate as well. That said, I suspect Wheeler will screw the country because he wants his lobbyist job at Comcast.
I don't see how something being mod tools means it shouldn't be given in the base game- it's more options for folks who don't mod. Not everyone wants to download and install mods, and LH is less mod-friendly on the install side than Civ 4 was (Civ 4 did it the best)
This is what happens when Europe forces companies to compete, and the US/Canada/Australia allows them to collude. One group you can blame in particular is ALEC for sponsoring legislation that banned communities in some states, such as North Carolina, from doing it themselves. ALEC got several Senators elected to Congress this time, so the FCC overruling the states is DOA.
Increasing cost just slows the rush instead of stops it. I think what is needed is a Civ4-style maintenance solution.
Yes, same problems as listed before. Also noticed tonight game not stopping when my production queue was empty
The ads in NC have been pretty nasty as well, not as bad as the Jesse Helms era, but pretty bad. NC is bad because the Dems can bash as hard as the Republicans can because the NC Legislature is every bit as disliked as Obama is.
1st time- CTD 2nd time- red squares on some tiles.
Most likely he got bad info from someone and believed it, as he's probably pretty busy and didn't have time to vet, and he's stuck in a hivemind vortex. Happens to most people when they're worked up, and justice is an issue that is riling a lot of people up given the times, with both the left and right having legitimate targets these days. Too bad you can't offer to meet him somewhere and show him your side of the story.
Yeah, level 10 cap sounds unfun. Most hero trees are pretty limited as well.
Are the tactical battle maps going to work like SK, with certain places you can't go?
I'm just wondering if it's possible for a AAA company to make a great game in a non mass-market genre.
I have little to no interested in BE right now. Maybe at 75% off. Civ 5 disappointed me as much as War of Magic did (sorry Jon but I don't blame you for it- I think much of it was outside your control) , expansions improved it less than FE/LH. Also, a ton of good games out now and upcoming. It's just another case to me of a AAA publisher (Firaxis) getting bloated and having the quality of their games revert to average. I just think the Firaxis w
I've noticed the last unit thing as well. I even sometimes deliberately split up and reconfigure my army to exploit this. I suspect it's legacy from GalCiv2. This needs to be fixed.
Late 2015 seems so long away. Then again, tiny team and an ambitious game, so it's important to get it right.
x64 would probably cost over half what a new game would cost. If the budget is limited, a final expansion would be ok, but I really want a full-budgeted sequel instead, even if I have to wait a few years for it. I just feel LH has some fundamental issues that can't really be patched and would need a sequel to fix.
This looked super-impressive. This is a potential GOTY for me in 2015 if everything comes together.
