I like the idea , but it should be a bonus to regular experience.

Reinforcements - I'd say use the SM adjacent hex rule. Also add a button that allows units that can reach an enemy unit to "reinforce" They head towards the battle, and will arrive at some point based on aall those factors. If the battlle ends early, they travel somewhat towards the tile, and use up the proper proportion of their moves in doing so. (as a percentage) I'd also want to see draw battles continue into the next turn, af
Well, Steam used to be 90%, so Impulse is picking up some Steam. I don't think Impulse will become #1, but I think it can become the clear #2, which is good enough. I do think Impulse is #1 in some genres- such as strat games. I also think the market penetration is much higher in the genres Stardock concentrates in, so the figures probably look better for Stardock, then they do the industry as a whole. As for the hard core, one thing I've noticed in the last
Oh, on the canon slider, I'd suggest three check boxes One for technology canon, one for balance, and one for species canon. Tech canon means if someone brings bear knights into the game good, bear TOW infantry, not so good. Balance- bascially if something is overpowered, if gets chucked. Species Canon- humans/fallen good, elves/dwarves maybe, oni ok unless they're wearing tiger-striped bikinis and shoot lighning, korx not ok (then
I don't care if the AI looks like it's cheating, as long as it isn't doing anything I can't do, provided I can turn down the difficulty if required.
You'll need some randomness in the personalities, to keep them from being predictable though.
One feature I'd really like to see you have as a core principle in Elemental: No feature is added unless the AI can use it reasonably. As for Kohan, when is Ahriman's Gift coming to Impulse? that's a game I'd love to actually buy again.
I really don't like the way Elemental does movement on the map. Having to hold the mouse button to move the map is reallly weird to me. My suggestion would be to make it like Civ IV- that system works and isn't bulky. Another suggestion would be to having something like the planet sidebar on the left like you had in GC2 for your towns, so you could go to each town as needed.
I lose on turn 1 after attacking the other's sovereign. I restart a new game, the other sovereign isin the same spot, I'm gone still. Cannot do anything.
On daily report, clicking on build/upgrade/etc should take you to the town screen.
Found out first issue via IRC is due to an incompatibilty with Microsoft Visual C++ and Windows 7 RC. Does anyone know of any workaround to this? It just gives a warning, so I can disregard, but that warning is annoying.
Arrow keys should allow for movement on the map so you can look up various towns. Secondly, when you finish building a troop or item in a town, like Civ, you should automaticlaly be sent to that town's production screen, or have a popup develop allowing you to build a new unit.
First one was installation- the Visual C++ for me did not load correctly, which led to an error message about direct runtime acceleration not working, was a warning message but game seemed to start up fine. Second issue is minor but definitely not WAD. trying to change victory conditions changes the name of the world.
Still nothing here. My guess is they work OT tonight.
GOO as a replacement for worse DRM's- tolerable. However, that wasn't the way it was used with Majesty 2. Paradox replaced no DRM with GOO. I'm not a zealot on this issue, but I do think it needs to be brought up that GOO is just as ineffective as other methods. then again, they'd have to crack the patches as well, but that isn't too hard- most patches get cracked within 1-2 days.
Worst case scenario, you just re-place your order, you got till end of September if something does mess up.
Well, here's one failure for GOO. Majesty 2 is out on the torrent sites already , despite GOO. M***n**a has a link time of 0540. Not putting out the full name since I don't feel like helping piracy, but many people will know what site I'm talking about. if GOO causes any legit customer hassle, it's a complete failure to me.
With the open beta, everything is transparent, so people can see the game isn't vaporware. If SD has closed development, these delays would start a "Duke Nukem Elemental" joke meme places by mid next year.
I think that's not a bad idea to factor into diplomatic AI. the EU series does that somewhat through badboy score.
There will be future beta windows. Also, they can dl the beta now and sit on it until the graphics come, though that doesn't do SD a load of good. Honestly though, 80-90% of the people using the beta won't help the process out a while lot, but having a large pool to draw the 10-20% does help SD out tremendously.
Beta 4 is going to be the toughest part. Guaranteed. Kinda think the MP should come first before the initial AI's and stuff, to get a hint of what the Ai needs to look for, but that can be done later.
I've been betting on tomorrow or Monday all along. At least if it isn't tomorrow Majesty 2 comes out Friday.
I see no moral issues with spoofing your IP in this case. If the account thing is set (I doubt it is done at account level) just make a new account. I'd even go so far as to say that since you aren't wanted as a customer, it's ok to just download it, though paying for it is the better option. Look at anime fansubs.
Well, the best way to show your displeasure at EA is to buy other games on Impulse instead. EA will get a message from that, I'm just unsure it will be the right message.
a) Stardock has the right to put whatever they want on Impulse b) We have the right to buy or not to buy. I choose not to buy anything with Securom. c) What Stardock does right, and the other services don't, is that they gave us upfront, without hoops, what you're getting with what you're buying. Steam sorta does this now also, Gamersgate is way behind on this. This is why all other things being equal, Impulse g
