So now FFH2 and elemental both have their creators writing books on it. Idea for 2017- Crossover game? New age of Turn-based fantasy? Yeah, four more weeks till beta- finally means no more 150ms lag nights of TF2 at work. Just be glad this isn't Japan- or you'd be getting Elemental Doujinshi.

Paradox developed games use no DRM. Even back in the EUII days, their publisher made them use a disk-check DRM, their first patch (may have even been day 0) removed it I think. Paradox and Stardock do think a lot alike. One warning: 3rd party games on GG can have nasty stuff, and they're not good about telling you what it is. They have some unusual stuff you won't find other spots- like Suguri (dojin shooter game like the Touhou series) You won't
Oh well, looks like I didn't get it. One more month.
King of Fighters XII. I know oddball answer, but it's good if you like serious competitive fighters. Awful otherwise.
They said months ago that it would be no problem.
I'm playing a bunch of fighting games and TF2 right now. KOFXII is awesome, though the netcode isn't.
I'd say the dungeons should be lower priority then a lot of other features- it doesn't sound as exciting to me as some of the other things in the game.
I'd say take the time. The issue is most people consider the start of your beta to be the 1.0 retail of most other people's work (I'm not sure if that's praise on you or condemnation on them) Just be sure when you make the decision, to post it up, post why, then let people know if they preorder, they'll have the game at the same time they would have- just that you're going to be adding content before release so you avoid the vaporware tag (you REALLY need to do this on the beta
Yes, with the expansions (both of them) base EUIII isn't so hot.
http://twitter.com/TeamElemental Probably stealing Brad's thunder here, but hey, I work in weather, I know how to handle thunder. ^_^ Hopefully I get in, and best of luck to you guys as well.
I'd like to see it upped to 12- one for each faction/race combo.
here's a concern: what advantage is there in the system right now, where you'd want to split your resereach 3 ways, instead of researching each one at a time and getting the benefit quicker? Is there different types of research? Something else needs to be said in order for this to make sense to me as it is described right now.
Well, honestly, given the quality of Stardock stuff, and the promise of patching, they could release it March 31, 2010, in a beta form, and people would probably think it was a well polished first attempt that needs some patching, which Stardock has a rep for providing. Right now, Stardock is reaping the rewards of its good reputation, and deservedly so. Many other publishers with the delays, we'd be worried, gnashing teeth, and possibly there would be some blood on here.
If you do that, you get into AI issues, powergaming, and other factors. Maybe weapons should be divided into class, with variety within the class. Sword-type Spear-type Axe-type Exotic-type same with non-melee troops.
Yeah, basically if you see something wrong, say it. It's not like there's an NDA or anything.
Next question, will there be a real difference between an axe, sword, and spear, or is it just aesthetics? If it isn't aesthetics, won't there be a clear best weapon? Personally, I'd almost rather it be aesthetics.
Gamestop employee might have stolen the key.
Hows the lag on this? I've been waiting some time for an online tournament fighter.
SFIV console uses input delay lag, so it's not ideal, but the way SFIV is designed with its ultra-generous buffer window, you should be fine on matches under 100ms lag. Note: fighting game players prefer rollback style lag to input delay in general, rollback style is only used on two fighters on the consoles (STHDR and Blaz

When you ask Stardock for a status update on the alpha- god kills a Bear Cavalry.
Can we get ACME products in Elemental now? I'd like some ACME Anvils to go with my Bear Cavalry and Dire Penguins plaese. BTW Stardock: lame feature request, please have a Dire some ridiculous animal like the Penguin from AOW.
As far as expansions go, you should be looking for a compilation at this point. BTS is definitely the better of the two expansions, but Warlords isn't bad or something to avoid. Frankly I hated the medieval age until trebuchets were introduced in that expansion. I've heard a couple people remark about how they didn't like Civilization 4. There's no question that it's not a clone of the earlier civilizat
It will work. Be sure you have a 6 button pad though- you need all 6.
But my question is, what is everyone thinking of doing about controllers / arcade sticks? Searching on the net, it seems XBOX360 and some PS3 controllers work on PC. Obviously for this game i'm more interested in a 8 button arcade stick, but it's hard to get them. Any ideas / suggestions? I will be in Europe in July/August so i can buy from there too. Apologies for any spelling mistakes, English is not my first language. 0 K
I'd recommend getting a legit joystick if you're going to be serious about it. TE sticks are $170US, but you get what you pay for. The cheaper sticks don't last too long. If you want to be real cheap- Saitek offers 6 button PC pads that will do the job for $20. You get what you pay for. The $50 pads for sale SF4 branded aren't any better. As for the quality of SF4- it has issues but by fighting game standards it is quite good. &
