It's in my documents\my games\elemental We're thinking that some hardware incompatibility with our animation is causing it. Seems to be related to certain ATI cards.

We're not sure what triggers it still. So far, the only thing we've seen is that on the systems reported so far they have AMD processors running ATI 4800. But personally, I think it's something specific to the game being played. The more saved games we can get, the better.

We got the second update with all the new maps and such in. So we should be good to go. If you experience any problems, report them. Even if you think they're known. Also, if you find you can't do something report it even if you think it's "user error". In the beta, our policy is that there is no such thing as user error. Just bad UI design. Just make sure you post your debug.err (at the very least) and if applicable your dump file if you had a crash. Note: The only cr

Glad you guys reported it. We totally crossed streams. I had said I wanted the load button to only list user created maps and not the seed maps and they thought that meant remove the seed maps (including tactical battle) and tactical battles don't generate maps, they'll just crash without them.

That's because they didn't upload the map files. We're about to put up an update. For those of you who are interested, if you want to see the fractal generator in action, try exploring as much as you can the maps it generates. We'll be updating with the seed maps in another hour or so so this is probably the one chance you'll get. :)

BTW, is anyone else having out of memory issues? If so, what processor and video card do you have? Is it AMD on Windows 7 64bit with an ATI 4800 by chance?

Your debug.err would be a good start. That would help us at least see if it's a compatibility issue or something.

crafty: nm on my last suggestion. Something very crazy must be happening to lose 100 megabytes per turn. It's not something we've seen but we're investigating.
