I've made some of these suggestions before in text form, and I'll make them again here, but first, here's a quick mock-up I did in Photoshop.

Here's what I've done:
1. Added the city HUDs to the cloth map.
2. Added faction icons to armies in the strategic view. I don't necessarily want them in the bottom-right corner. I only put them there so I wouldn't have to move the other icons around. I should note, I'd rather keep the black ring around the faction icons; I only took it out because it was easier to edit in Photoshop.
3. Around the city Isnilalir, the HUD icons move out of the way of the city HUD, so you can still see them. Currently, that quest turn-in icon would be hidden. I only moved the HUD icons mostly out of the way because it was easier to edit.
4. One suggestion I wanted to put in the mock-up but didn't because it would have taken way too long in Photoshop would be to add an option to have the regular 3D view monsters in the cloth map. It's hard to tell the difference between the armies the way they are here. I mean, sure, it looks cool, but without color, they all look the same. Also, in the cloth view, it would be easier to tell what an army was using the 3D map view's model than it would be using the same model in the 3D map view.
Of these four suggestions, I would like 2 implemented the most. It is far more important in the 3D view than in the cloth map view; I only did it in the cloth map view here so I could combine the mock-up for it with 1. If 1 and 4 were implemented, I would play the entire game in the cloth map. 3 is not very important, but would be helpful when there are things near the city HUD.
