0.85 The End - Spell of Making

I just ended my first 0.85 game.

It ended with casting Spell of Making by me so I've won. The casting was strange really - army of my sov was immobilized with big X icon on it and no tooltip what is going on and why. Meanwhile Ythril that was far advanced, populated and mighty said that he's the most powerful being in the world because he casted Alchemy. Really?

I'd thought that while casting The Spell other faction will start some war to disturb the caster but nothing happened.

I watched the ending 'video' and while it was more rewarding then CIV5 screenies it lacked something. Maybe little bird's eye view of the world, with my flags in the wind and the throne room with my custom made sov along with the best champions. I wonder if it's hard to include custom assets in this semi animated cut scenes. I think that what makes the connection between player and the world played. You see similar video in every game, but this time it has the griffon simbols all around. The one you yourself drawn before in GIMP.

Ideas:

- Graphs are nice. But I'd like to see top 5 cities and top 5 champions of the world (with miniatures).

- The game needs hall of fame.

Hmm. A screen showing the top 5 faction owned Champions of the world would be interesting ...

Makes for a new element of competition, and new CnD for multiplayer games

-> perhaps the list would only show Champs and not Sovereigns? their abilities, equipment, and levels.

-> maybe not show which faction its owned to add a level of surprise (make it more rewarding for figures who can figure out which faction owns which due to their own CnD, process of elimination, deduction, etc)
