Many of the spells scale with the number of a particular shard type you own. I love that concept and how you have to tailor your strategies to which shards you've managed to capture. On the strategic map, if I'm casting a spell, I can look up at the status bar at the top of the screen and check how many shards I own of a particular type to figure out the spell effect. On the tactical screen, though, I'm often left guessing.
I have two possible suggestions for addressing this issue.
- Have the spell text messages autocalculate the effect of the spell based on your shards and hero bonuses in the same way that it calculates mana used based on hero bonuses. That way I don't have to know my shard numbers because the game has already told me what the final effect of the spell will be.
- Alternatively, make the number of shards owned and their type available on the tactical screen as well
