In my 1.19f game I just did the darkling quest and cleared the village. Upon exit of tactical battle, my stack was on top of a darkling unit as you can see from this print screen. Please note there is a consistency: I manually fought the tactial battle and one of my heroes, Carielf, has the dominate ability. This is exactly what I saw in the prior thread and other posters have said the same thing. I think there's something weird going on with that ability and units not clearing from the map.

Also note the darkling disappered after I saved the season 27 file above. I don't know if you have the code to check from navigation or not but it cleared itself from those steps.
