[1.07]Intermittent UI background problem.

Lately, and this just started happening recently even though I've been playing the same patch for a while, the UI backgrounds are not showing up. The text is visible but the window background is missing. Can't play like that really. The problem appears upon startup, and only a restart will sometimes fix it. Sometimes it's very stubborn and takes two or three restarts for the main menu to display properly.

If this happens, try clearing out the Screens folder in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic on Windows XP).

Well I just tried that, and I still have the problem. Sometimes I've been able to fix it by going to the cartography room, which always crashes when things are in this state, and then after I start the game again it will be ok. This seems to work most of the time, but there were definately times when it did not work.

Ok, I have a debug.err file this time, and I think it has relevent information. I should also say that I'm running the game in windowed mode so I can switch easily among different apps for modding purposes.

I started up, had no backgrounds, went to cartography table and got two crashes. I'm guessing one for the editor and one for the main app? Dunno, here's the pastebin.

Yeah, looks like the generated screen files in ProgramData got corrupted. Hard to say just how it happened, though.

I went back to fullscreen and the problem does not happen there.

Out of curiosity, have you changed the atlas size setting?
