Screenclip shows the error. The "Item Shop" tool tip is being displayed in raw format as "Visit Item Shop in %s(S)". The cause for this is easy to deduce. My hero is in the enemy wilds. No shop, so no value to put into the "%s", so it gets passed along as a literal part of the character string, rather then be replaced by "" (empty string).

RELATED BUG: When in enemy lands, you have access to THEIR items via the shop. My Life guys had access to Demon Sword while on Empire wild lands. Bug seems to respect the host lands tech discoveries, as I had discovered light armor, but it wasn't available there. Only items that the local empire had discovered.
