I got two farm tiles in my initial position but the most curious thing is that one of the farm tiles (the one not used) remains highlighted when outside of build mode and the city is selected. I had another city later with just one farm tile and happened the same to it after I quit build mode and had not built anything on the farm tile and the city was selected.
Starting a new game, I tried to repeat it and this time started only building two huts. When I advanced turn, the city was selected, this happened:
