A player could be provided a Tech "BONUS" for staying in a single Tech Tree for a certain # of Tech picks, versus someone who jumps around in 3 or 4 trying to cherry pick the best starting ones. If you are using multiple Log in's, or Profiles, then just add those users to the Administration Group under your Control Panel. The "All Users" Profile allows ALL users to have the same icons without having a bunch of duplication and wasted space, even though icons are not very big. Your Profile should have Full Admin rights? Currently the game does not "take away" any of those remote resources you send your Pioneers to. Nor do you benefit from those resources until they fall inside the actual min. distance from a Town, currently 4 Tiles I believe, so it makes it hard to actually tell what "costs" will eventually be incurred to take and hold those remote resources. From the "other thread" :) I would like to suggest that the Mana Pool, if left somehow linked to the current Essence level, be changed such that whatever I have managed to push my Essence Pool up to (max. at any point) be the new and persistent Mana Pool level, despite having used up Essence after the fact. The faster spread of Fertile Land will obviously save ALOT of Essence. Depending on the actual spread rate, a SOV may not have to ever use his again for City creation. Remember, none is consumed on already fertile ground. One fear I see with this is on the smaller sized maps. Would it be possible to rate the spread based on the size of map in use? The OP is concerned about how a SOV would get EXP that converts to Levels that then provides further Essence. Even given the tiny map we now test on, much of it, although not being directly controlled by an enemy faction, could be considered hostile or enemy territory.
